Parley....Will That Get Me On The Ship Any Faster part 2

I was going to make Castaway Cay 5K shirts but now having a hard time finding inexpensive short sleeve shirts even in Florida!!

Anyone make shirts for the run?

i was going to make a shirt for watching the Castaway Cay run..it says..
"watching Chics Run on the Beach 2011"pirate::cool2:popcorn::

I know it is still a week away, but I just looked at the forecast for St. Maarten & St. Thomas and it looks like rain is predicted? :sad2:

Who is packing the pixie dust?

Yep, it does look like extended periods of showers for both islands, guess we will have to wait and see!:sad2:

Yes, I noticed that, too. And it's a total bummer for me when I'm soooooo looking forward to the dark skies at night (did I mention there's a stargazing meet Wednesday night?)

What I was wondering is if there is some rain in the USVI almost every day, and that is why it is included in the forecast? Maybe it's like Orlando where it rains sometime between 2pm and 3pm pretty much every day. I don't know. I'm just hoping that we end up with nice weather most of the time. And hoping beyond hope for crystal clear skies Wednesday night!

On past Disney cruises, one of the DISers in a fairly central location volunteered to have a white board at their cabin to post messages. Everybody knew where to look for updates.

We are located mid ship deck 6. We could use our door. I have a small white board that I can take.

I got final word from my contact at DCL about the stargazing event. The ship will be expecting our group at Deck 10 Forward. Unfortunately, they will not be able to accommodate my request to lower the lights in that area. That's fine. I will scout out the area the first couple of nights to find the ideal vantage point for our meet-up. We will all meet at Deck 10 Forward (just in front of the Sports Deck), and then I will lead the group to a better location if necessary. I need to check out the sports deck and see how bright it will be with its lights on. Also, I want to see how windy it is going to be up front on Deck 10. From past experience on previous non-DCL cruises, it can get pretty windy up front. However, it may not be too bad on Wednesday night as the ship only has to travel a short distance to get from St. Maarten to St. Thomas and should not be going too fast.

So, that's the final word: Wednesday, 10/26 @ 9:30pm on Deck 10 Forward in front of the Sports Deck. Is there anyone available to update the meet-up info on the first page? I have been provided a DCL contact who will be on the ship in case we need anything else. I will make one last-ditch effort to appeal to the crew and see if we can get some lights turned off. If not, oh well. We will still have a great time and get to see night skies that are much better than many of us see back home. I so can't wait to meet you all!

See you real soon!!!!

Oops, I got my days mixed up. Wednesday night the ship will be heading from St. Thomas to Castaway Cay in the Bahamas. Who knows, they could really be booking to get there in time. So, it may be windy. If so, we'll move the group to a less-windy location. Sorry about that.

I hope everyone has fun on their cruise. I see a bunch of people that we sailed with in October of 2009 are sailing here. I am actually taking a cruise next Thursday, as Goofy4Ever, who also sailed in October 2009 is getting married on the fantasy. Hope everyone has a great time. Anyone have an extra fish extender they would like to send me? I can not find mine anywhere. Lol. I will even pay for it. Lol.

hey chris. sorry cant help you. we're using our next week...you probably dont want one with Underdog or Jessica Rabbit on it anyway.:rotfl:
Hope you have a great cruise! :sail:

Got our FE in the mail today! Woo hoo!:banana:

Guess that is our sign that it is time to get the luggage down from the attic.

Been making small piles of stuff as it comes out of the wash or off the ironing board. Packing for 2 young girls :cutie::cutie: (and 1 older one :bride: ) is exhausting!

I am really concerned about how I"m gonna pack all the FE stuff. Could almost fill a small suitcase with that and the chocolate!
Good thing we're driving is all I can say.

We will be spending Friday night at the Comfort Inn suites, but will most likely be getting there too late to meet anyone for dinner. Was planning on leaving at crack of dawn, but mom wants to take the older DD for a pedi-mani that morning before we leave.

Just in case anyone hadn't been back here in a while, we did finally get our room assignment...
The Webmiester Party will be in room 7110.

Can't wait to meet everyone!

Lol. Thanks Underdog. Are you guys planning a cruise for 2013 yet? We had such a great time with everyone in 2009, and we are planning a cruise for 2013.

So, who is going to be the last Parleyer to post to the Meet thread before we embark? Will be fun to see who can get the final post before we get to the terminal. :surfweb:

Speaking of meet... can't wait to meet everyone. We don't have matching t-shirts or anything, but if you see someone knitting while waiting in the terminal, it will probably be me. :upsidedow

Well it's my turn to sign off. Leaving soon for my niece's house, Wendy and then we get a taxi to the airport tomorrow.

Daylight Saving Time doesn't end until 6 November.

If we change the clocks because of different time zones, they will put a special notice in your room along with your Personal Navigator (and the jewelry ads, the alcohol ads, the photography ads, etc.!). We've been on some cruises that changed the clocks based on the time zone; others maintained "ship time" (based on the departure port) the entire cruise - makes it kind of confusing if you're on a short tour and their clocks are different from the ships' clocks!

Oh, wow. The UK turn their clocks back on the last Saturday night/Sunday morning in October.

 Happy Anniversary Robin & Mike!

So that's me.....see you all in sunny Florida.
