More packing was completed tonight. We are bringing too much for sure!

Being from Chicago (even though I live in NC), I wanted to bring Frango mints.
However, I bought small boxes based on the number of rooms participating in the FE activities... just wasn't thinking.

What were the plans around the chocilate thing? Were folks bringing an item per room or just gonna open up and chow down right there?

Chocolate thingy. I am just bringing maple fudge in 3 large pieces, so will just cut once we get there and put it out for a free for all.

My thought was we were all just bringing a sample to the meet to pass around and share there, and people can sample anything they want. I know that I am not bringing enough Mini Moon Pies for everyone. It really is about the meet, and the chocolate-fudge part was just an add-on. Chances are, people really won't be hungry anyways

Final day at work for me today, and I am thinking I will leave a bit early. We won't be leaving early tomorrow, because we are waiting to 11:01 so that the two children get credit for attendance at school tomorrow. It makes for a long day, but we can do this! Some final shopping, packing tonight, including our adult beverages for our room.

I spent the last few days in So Cal; it's even been cold and completely overcast here. Getting on a plane in a couple of hours to fly home to Orlando (although FL's been on the cool side, too). Tomorrow will be dr. appt., yardwork, and packing. Driving over to the port Saturday morning - see everybody in two days!

All I have to do is clean and pack my camera gear tonight. Tomorrow AM is run by the bank, get the oil changed in the van, pick up the children at 11:01 am and start our 12 hour journey south! Will see a few of you at the Welcome The Magic in Meet on Sat morning, although it will be without much sleep. See more of you at the the 3pm that day. My wife and I will be wearing our Tennessee Titans T-Shirts for easy identification

Actually, I am pretty sure you will be ahead of us.

We will go through Atlanta on I-75, a bit on I-16, and then US1 until we pick up I95 in Jacksonville. When we booked this cruise we still lived in Tallahassee, so we always planned to drive. When we moved to Nashville, we thought about flying, but like opportunity to bring extra bags etc. It is about a 12 hour drive, plus the time change, but we are experienced drivers, so it isn't that big of a deal. We also originally planned for the children to miss school all day today, but one has already had their tonsils removed this year, and the other goes in November, so we figure missing a full week (next week) is enough. They are going until 11am, when they receive credit for attendance. We will survive! I just want to make sure we get through ATL before the afternoon rush, and then all will be good!
