Park hopping after 2pm..

oh i know, i am wondering about BEFORE 2pm though. I get why not at HS, but why not at Epcot, esp since it opens too late? Just wondering if it's a hard and fast rule anywhere but HS.

Other than possibly a few minutes early, as another PP mentioned, yes, it is a "hard and fast rule". When you try to scan into a park before 2:00, the system will not allow entry, unless you have a park reservation for that park for that day (which you will only have for your first park).

thanks! I was hoping they might relax it a little as time goes on, but prob not since the rule for HS will have to stay 2pm

we are all in pandemic shape right now lol. But they just released some masking policies for BB. Basically, in certain areas of the park, you need one, but they're not gonna make you wear one in the pool.

like howabout on the chairlift? What, do I take it down summit plummet with me?

Is the Park Hopper after 1:00 or 2:00 PM a new Disney permanent rule or a COVID-based rule that will be lifted eventually?

Park hopping after 2:00 PM is the rule "for now" - whether Disney will change it or not is something I can't predict, and I don't think anyone else can either. Those in the Disney hierarchy who know what the plans are, usually are not at liberty to say!

I agree with CarolynFH - no one is sure if/when it might be lifted. It definitely came about as part of the Covid adjustments, just like park reservations. But who knows - they might just keep those changes moving forward if it helps Disney with capacity controls and analytics.

Park reservations would be meaningless without a hopping rule of some sort. Otherwise you could just scan into your reserved park at opening and then leave.

Keep in mind that Epcot currently has a 1pm Virtual Queue for Remy right now. And HS can go back to a Virtual Queue if Disney wants it to. That's 50% of the parks that need the 2pm rule. It would also be more confusing to the general public if the rule only applied to some of the parks and not the others. There's enough confusing with G+.
