Paradise to the Treasure-A Polynesian/Eastern Caribbean/Spring Adventure 2025...Updated 4/23

Stunning!
By 9:30am we were officially on our way!
Honestly, taking the cruise transfers to the port was so easy and such a seamless process,
I wish they did that for Port Everglades. Or do they? When I did my last cruise I don't think it was an option.
When you arrive by bus, they assign you a Boarding Group and I don't know if we were just lucky this day, but we were assigned to Boarding Group 1!
When we walked onto the ship I looked at Allie and said,
"this looks like Agrabah!" And it did!
This ship is truly stunning and I honestly think it's even prettier than the WISH!
It sure is beautiful!
This would be the only time we'd ever see the deck this empty...
Score! That is really nice to have all to yourself for a short time.
We ended up waiting over an hour and you might have already guessed,
of course there were no more brunch reservations
We waited all that time to just get our name on a waiting list.
Okay, that's just poor customer service. They def could have done better.
because we like the location and like being able to run up a couple flights to the food and coffee.
A giant bonus!

I don't think they do but that would be a game changer! I think they'd get more people booking land and sea from there if they didn't have to worry about getting there!

Plaza de Coco

I don't know why but I always surprise myself at how little I notice when we start sailing away.
It's like one minute we are in port and the next...
IMG_3015.jpegIMG_3023.jpeg
I love it though! The first day of a 7-night cruise...what could be better!! 🥰

We had the first seating for dinner and I was happy we got what I had called and requested...
IMG_3026.jpeg

Allie and I loved the entry way and how it was designed to look just like the movie...
IMG_3028.jpegIMG_3032.jpeg

We even loved the plates and I thought this was such a beautiful sentiment...
IMG_3038.jpeg

Shortly after we arrived our servers came over and dropped off some chips and salsa and the menus, and took our drink orders...
IMG_3039.jpegIMG_3040.jpeg

IMG_3041.jpeg

Our head server came back a few minutes later for our order and when we told him what we wanted for our appetizer he asked what we wanted for the rest of dinner. I was so surprised and was like, "Oh! You want to know everything?" and he's like, "yes."
Okayyyy...give me one sec...so we quickly ended up ordering our full meal in a rush.

This night the servers seemed frenetic...they were rushed and while not "unfriendly," they certainly weren't chatty or friendly...just took the order and rushed off. I don't know if it's because the ship is so new and they are still learning the ropes...I would be happy to give grace if that was the case.
But honestly, it just seems like they have too many tables to serve and not enough servers. For example, we ran out of salsa but still had chips left so we asked for some more that never ended up coming. And my Diet Coke never got refilled until almost the end of dinner.
Anyway, we did enjoy the entertainment albeit from pretty far away,
the musicians were very talented...

Plaza de Coco Dinner

Aside from the rushed service and not getting a refill of salsa or Diet Coke, this was probably our third favorite meal of the trip, at least food wise. The service did seem to improve somewhat after the first night, but the food didn't, or at least not to our tastes. We are both super fussy and don't eat a lot of meat aside from chicken or beef, and besides shrimp cocktail or fried scallops, we don't eat seafood. We would love a more casual option for dinner...I know they used to have Cabanas open on the Fantasy if you didn't feel like sitting in the main dining rooms, but that seems to have gone away and hasn't returned, at least as far as I know. And frankly, I really dislike the Marvel dining room and show...I didn't like it on the WISH and I didn't like it on this trip. It's so loud and crazy and really not relaxing at all. Coco is also loud but at least I enjoy that IP.
I think I actually prefer the MDRs on the OG ships...they are definitely more laid back and quieter. Anyway....sorry for the rant...back to this dinner...

I got...

Baby Gem Salad
Baby Romaine, Cherry Tomatoes, Roasted Corn, Lime Pepitas, Cotija Cheese, Creamy Cumin-Avocado Dressing

IMG_3068.jpeg
I'm a salad girl and this was pretty good.

Then Allie and I split...

Chorizo Street Croquettes
Toasted Corn, Chili-Lime Crema, Cotija Cheese, Cilantro

IMG_3069.jpeg
I had no idea what these were but they were surprisingly delicious. Allie and I bot really enjoyed them.

And then we both had...

Gemelli Pasta
Roasted Sun-dried Tomato, Baby Spinach, Ripped Basil, Lemon Zest, Black Pepper, Burrata Cheese, Olive Oil

IMG_3076.jpeg
Now, this was really weird since it seems like more of an Italian dish than a Mexican one, but we both really liked it, although it could have used a little more sauce or dressing because it was a little dry.

We couldn't decide what we wanted for dessert so we got three to share.
I always feed weird asking for more than one per person
but I think everyone does it so I stifled my awkwardness and asked if it was ok.

Margarita Lime Cheesecake
Sea Salt Shortbread, Raspberry-Agave Margarita Coulis

Mexican Chocolate Tart
Spiced Chocolate Crème, Caramel Pecan Nuts, Chocolate Glaze

Warm Coconut Tres Leches
Three Milk-soaked Coconut Cake, Caramel Sauce, Dulce de Leche Ice Cream

IMG_3083.jpegIMG_3085.jpeg
IMG_3088 (1).jpeg
Of the three I liked the Coconut Tres Leche the best.
Allie is a chocolate girl and really enjoyed the chocolate tart.

After dinner we ran back to our room to change our shoes and our stateroom host had made it up already. I'm not sure what this guy is...a walrus?
He's cute anyway.
IMG_3090.jpeg

Our host had opened all the beds to see where Allie wanted to sleep
and while we were there he knocked to come ask us.
IMG_3094.jpegIMG_3097.jpegIMG_3098.jpeg
Allie ended up picking the Murphy Bed...
something about being further away from my snoring which I'm sure I don't do :rolleyes1

After a quick change we headed back out to the Haunted Mansion Parlor...that's next!

I’m so excited to see all the beds out! I don’t know if we will have the exact same room, I meant the exact same room type.
I have many mixed reviews about the rotational dining. I absolutely love Coco!
Did Allie find the bed okay comfort wise? She is a lot younger than my sisters but I hope it is decent. It is hard the older we get, we always want to have a decent bed.

Oh, haha! That makes sense...I was thinking what a coincidence that was! :rotfl2:

She had no complaints! I will say the Queen bed was soooooooo comfortable...probably the most comfortable bed I've EVER slept in :cloud9:! I did offer to share with her but she likes her own space (and I wasn't complaining!).

It's like one minute we are in port and the next...
Where'd the land go???

::yes:: :goodvibes

I like it. :)
Wow!!
Interesting menu layout.

::yes:: I think that's pretty common on cruise ships. At least from what I've experienced (very limited) and heard.
This night the servers seemed frenetic...they were rushed and while not "unfriendly," they certainly weren't chatty or friendly...just took the order and rushed off. I don't know if it's because the ship is so new and they are still learning the ropes...
Maybe it was that. Opening days are always going to be a bit rough.
we ran out of salsa but still had chips left so we asked for some more that never ended up coming.
:sad2:

Great. That's when you really want it. :sad2:

Of the whole trip, or just the cruise portion?
And frankly, I really dislike the Marvel dining room and show...I didn't like it on the WISH and I didn't like it on this trip. It's so loud and crazy and really not relaxing at all
Ugh. Loud during dining is not one of my favourite things... at all.
Baby Romaine, Cherry Tomatoes, Roasted Corn, Lime Pepitas, Cotija Cheese, Creamy Cumin-Avocado Dressing
Chorizo Street Croquettes
Toasted Corn, Chili-Lime Crema, Cotija Cheese, Cilantro
Gemelli Pasta
Roasted Sun-dried Tomato, Baby Spinach, Ripped Basil, Lemon Zest, Black Pepper, Burrata Cheese, Olive Oil
All of those sound good!
We couldn't decide what we wanted for dessert so we got three to share.

Huh. I didn't know that everyone did that. Not sure I'd want to? Dunno. :confused3
Warm Coconut Tres Leches
Three Milk-soaked Coconut Cake, Caramel Sauce, Dulce de Leche Ice Cream
Nope! You had me all warm and fuzzy until right there.
Of the three I liked the Coconut Tres Leche the best.
:sad2:
I'm not sure what this guy is...a walrus?
Demon from the third level of the Inferno.
while we were there he knocked to come ask us.

 She looks like she was caught off guard by him!
