Sorry due to limited internet time didnt read your posts.
After a great Animators palate meal on Tuesday night, we had a really funny evening show with Ron Pearson, it appeared to be a lot of off the cuff winged discussion on peoples countries and backgrounds with some juggling and also some stunts like holding a ladder up with his chin.
Wednesday was a great day in Puerto Vallarta, we had a
DCL private tour and we were escorted off the ship by the shore excursions manager to a private car, we shared this with another family of four.
We had a great time, firstly going around the town on PV, looking at the boardwalk, the church, and the old town, then up the hills for a beauty point stop overlooking the bay, another stop of the beach, and shopping, then to a tequila factory for a great induction on the production and lots of tasting of different types of the drink,.
This was really good, and very enjoyable, we then drove for lunch and this was by a cascading waterfall and pools, and we had a typically local dish.
After that stop back to the hills for a botanical gardens, and a look at all the local plants then to another river, with a waterfall, where we could walk up it, swing on some ropes, and generally get very wet indeed.
I say wet, well shortly afterwards the good weather broke and we had a very big storm. We were lucky to get back to the van, and decided after a tour of PV again, we would go of all places to
Walmart across a busy road, from the ship. We purchased water bottles for our tours, some sand shovels and snorkel stuff for
Castaway cay and toped up on our general supplies toothpaste etc, we were then driven back to the ship, across the road, well it was raining.
The ship stayed in port till 1am, and we had an old carnival ship next to us, we had a good view from our room. Of the ship and port area development with hotels, it rained all evening.
Our meal was Taste of Californian and it was very good, we really enjoyed it, I have prepurchased a number of bottles of wine so had one to accompany the meal form Californian.
The evening show was local, Los Caporales festival folklore, playing topical Mexican music, and interjecting with the audience.
Christian has been very good at introducing the shows and ending them with lots of information,
Now I should call yesterday, two cards, a camera and PV, day. My DS, lost his KTTW Card early and obtained a replacement, then at the end of our private tour trying to get onboard he had lost the 2nd card, and we had to go through security to get on. He obtained a 3rd card at GS. Then when we got to our room we noticed his camera was gone, so we called the shore excursions team, to contact our van, but the call back said it wasnt there. I decided to go to security had it been left there, no!, I thought I would walk outside around the port just in case, when our van pulled up with his camera case only and his KTTW card mark 2. I asked to look at the van again and down the back there was his camera so we got it back, later in the room I found his first card, so we had three cards and the camera back.
Today has been a sea day, hot and sunny, my crew had a lay in so I went to topsiders and I was by myself waiting for them, some of the staff serving took the Mickey a bit, having a laugh with me, but, they also looked after me with personal coffee service.
When my crew were up and had been to topsiders we found chairs, it was a hot and sunny day, very hot at the pools. We did shopping n the two Disney shops, and had a swim.
Topsiders for lunch was Italian style, and I was handed my tray and plate from a Italian girl, I asked her if she prepared it all herself she said yes, the queue wasnt moving fast and we had a chat and she told me her job interview was last year when the Magic was in Rome.
After more sunbed and swimming time, the
Castaway club party was held at 4.30pm, the usual thing but held on the goofy pool area as over 2,100 CC members where there, it became very crowded as the jackpot bingo ended.
We were told the new itineraries for 2010 will be on sale in October, Captain Tom did his usual joking around on destinations, and so did Christian, he said it was Arizona.
Lumieries tonight was a French rotational dinner very good, usual high standard with Belle and the beast coming in for a dance and greeting the kids.
The show tonight was Ron Lucas, Ventriloquist, he got on at PV, and will get off at Acapulco, to go back to Vegas, and he was excellent.
We are in at Acapulco at 6am, and all ashore is 6.30am, but we leave again at 1pm!!!!
Service has been great, some examples had some wine for dinner didnt finish it off, took it to the stateroom before the show came back later and its in an ice box with ice to keep it cool.
DS had a smoothie for dinner, it was knocked over, he had a replacement and said to the server after getting some smoothie over him it was ok, as he could have the cherry twice, next thing a plate full of cherries arrives for him.
We have asked for the kids to have the Palo Soufflé in the main rooms and they have confirmed this for later in the cruise.
We are up early tomorrow our trip is at 7am so we hope to be in topsiders by 6am.
