Pal Mickey?

The hand-held games are great. I believe they were $20 each and it's a good idea to purchase extra batteries at the same time, if available (they chew them up quickly). If you miss out on the games at the parks, there's a "secret" parent code provided in the instructions (down-up-up-up-down or something like that) to activate all the games. Hold onto your receipt, though. We had one game that couldn't be activated anywhere, regardless of what we tried to do. Upon presentation of our receipt, the cast members at the nearest store were happy to provide us with a working replacement.

I think you end up deleting all the games (except the starter Cinderella one) when you replace the batteries, so in order to reactivate, hold onto those instructions like you would an annual pass!

This is such a great idea with the video games- especially for the in-between ages for kids. I don't have any kids myself and DH and I are planning on buying a Pal Mickey only cause I am a HUGE Mickey fan so i will be wearing him the whole time. DH can listen when he wants or not listen - LOL! I just think the whole downloading the additional games at the attractions is brilliant and the price is good.

Here Is Were You Can Purchase Pal Mickey

I have had luck with this before when I wanted to get a surprise gift for my wife and then once again when I purchased an item for my mother's b-day. Of course, the only place you could get those gifts was at WDW. So, I called the store where I knew they sold the particular items, bought them with my credit card and had the items shipped to my house. No problems, no questions at all.

If someone knows of a secondary seller, they may be able to help also.

My recommendation would be to call one of the stores on the list.

Your question has given me an idea for one of my daughters Christmas presents, which will come in handy on our January 1st trip.

Hope This Helps,

Does anyone know the name of the handheld game? I would like to call Disney Merchandising and order it to be sent before our next trip. Thanks!

I forgot about Disney Merchandising. I did not use them before because I did not know about them at the time. It was quite a few years ago.

Disney Merchandising Information

Hope this helps all that would like to pre-order games or Pal Mickey before going to the park.

They also sell Pal Mickey in the resort gift shops, right? And Downtown Disney, I think, because I remember an AP holder mentioning that she went there to buy him, just because it was the place she got the discount.

The cutest thing he said was when we left Epcot. He said something like, that was a great trip into Epcot. It's been a long day so I hope you do'nt mind by i'm going to take a rest now! :)

My sister's Pal Mickey sometimes thanks you for carrying him around Epcot all day. That totally cracks me up.

Three hints about Pal Mickey:

Make sure he is turned on when you enter the park. That is when he downloads the information about parade times, etc.

If you have a child who is easily frightened, don't let them hold Pal Mickey in the Haunted Mansion. He has a tendency to go off mid-ride, and that has been enough to startle adults... I can't imagine how scary that would be for a child who is just barely holding onto their composure to begin with!

Also, if you buy a Pal Mickey, he will eventually run low on batteries. It's one thing to have your Pal Mickey jiggle and giggle, but it's quite enough to have him jiggle and jiggle and jiggle until you think he's having a seizure. We thought that Pal Mickey had undiagnosed epilepsy, but it turned out he was low on batteries, and that's how they tell you. If you have to replace batteries in the park, don't just buy batteries, take him to one of the Pal Mickey service locations and have them reload the information that is lost when the batteries are removed.
