This is our first time staying at OKW. Our home resort is BWV, but couldn't get reservations there because of a late change to add space for in-laws.

When we go over to the Boardwalk, will our parking pass from OKW get us in and allow us to park at BWV?

It will depend on how busy BW is at the time. During the off season, they'll just waive you through. If you are going at a very busy time (holidays) then they will ask you what your business is there. If you have valid business at the resort, its no problem.

You may park at BWV if you plan on doing an activity or dining there. They frown upon parking at BWV for theme park access, since the window ID also gets you into the parks parking area free.

You can also utilize the free valet parking perk at BWV by showing your DVC membership (blue) card, the free valet parking at DVC resorts is a perk tied to being a DVC member, not to staying at the resort.

I was in Orlando on a business trip about 10 days ago and went to have dinner at ESPN (I stayed at the Radisson in Downtown Orlando). I just flashed my DVC card, said I was going to dinner at ESPN and they waived me through. It really impressed my business associate! :D

we did just this last week as we were at OKW but guess what.....they lost the keys to our van after we valet parked it. to cut a long story short they gave us a ride back to OKW and had to get new keys cut, they then returned our van around midnight as we were checking out for a few days at the beach and I needed it back for an early start the next day. They were full of apologies and very helpful in the end

Last week we stayed at OKW & had a parking permit that said DVC member. We had no problem getting into (being waved in, no questions, no ID) PO French Quarter, the Contemporary, Boardwalk & Beach Club.

I'm at BWV and just went round and round in the self park about an hour ago. There were a bunch of other cars doing the same thing. I finally decided to take a shot in the lot behind the guard station, that was pretty full but I found a space. I could have valeted but the principle of having to tip when I should be able to self park gets me. The valet lot looked pretty full too. They need to start directing more people to the lot across the street, especially those without a PS or a WDW parking permit.
