None of us that are going in December are really breakfast eaters but I figure we should pack some stuff just in case. So besides poptarts and breakfast bars, what can I throw in my checked luggage that doesn't need to be heated or refridgerated?

Little Debbie and Tastykake make single serving donuts, coffee cakes, sticky buns.

It's not a breakfast item, but we pack cheese and peanut butter crackers. Sometimes I'm in the mood for breakfast things like poptarts, donuts, etc...the sweet stuff, but when I'm not, it's not easy to grab an egg and grits on the go, so when I'm in the mood for something salty on the go in the morning, I grab the cheese or peanut butter crackers!!!!!!!!

We've done the cheese/cracker (or pb/cracker) thing, too. You can also bring your own crackers and little travel tubs of peanut butter. Also, granola, granola bars, portable fruit like apples/oranges/bananas, dried fruit, or little tubs of applesauce.

I like the little tubs of applesauce, or fruit cups, even though they are better cold, they are good on the move, but tape plastic spoons to the tops so you don't forget them!!! Also any cereal the kids will eat dry ie: Cheerios, cap't crunch etc... if you don't want to carry the whole box put a handful into ziplock baggies...

The multi packs of individual cereal bowls. They dont' take up as much room as you think, when you stack them. Just buy milk at the resort and eat the cereal in your room. That's what we do.

I'm packing little boxes of cereal for the kids, granola bars, and some mini bagels if I have the room. My room has a fridge so I will grab a small container of milk and some cream cheese.

We packed slimfast meal replacement bars (also generic aldi brand). They are very filling and held us over until an early lunch in the parks.

About a week or two before we leave for Disney, we bake different kinds of muffins and freeze them until it's time to pack them in a strong shoebox. We already have our banana bread in the freezer and plan to bake some cinnamon muffins and lemon yogurt muffins to take along too.

You can also buy those Otis Spunkmeyer muffins which are prepackaged. They are pretty good and come in different flavors like blueberry, chocolate chip, lemon poppyseed. Oh, and the cheese streusel muffins are to die for.

If you will have a coffee maker available, you can boil water in it and make instant oatmeal. We did oatmeal almost every morning on our last trip. :thumbsup2

We are also planning to pack those cereal bowls to go, a bag of spoons and buying milk at resort. May throw in a few oatmeal packs. Also, packing granola bars, gummy snacks and Hi-C juice boxes for the kids.

We have the Free-Dining Plan but this one extra meal can cost a lot. Most of our snacks will be covered but I am still packing a few extras.

We like rice krispie treats too... no more sugar than poptarts or other cereal bars. There are applesauce sticks sort of like gogurt but applesauce that you can take along, no need to refridgerate and do not require a spoon. I also do quite a bit of fruit, it's great on the go and comes in it's own package. Dried fruit as well. Granola bars, I make some homemade that are super yummy.

My kids will eat pretty much anything in a baggie with some stickers on it lol.

I sometimes make little breakfast baggies for us to grab in the morning. I use Multigrain Cheerios, peanuts, dried cherry berry blend, and a handfull of dark chocolate M&Ms, and some Quaker Oatmeal Squares breakfast cereal in brown sugar or cinnamon. It's really filling, salty, sweet, and everyone is happy.

We also love pumpkin oatmeal muffins around here. I make a triple batch using the big can of Libby's pumpkin and use half white and half wheat flour. Throw in a bag of dark chocolate chips and we're good to go. You could also throw in some walnuts for protein. The PP who said they freeze them until it's time to leave had a good idea! We usually freeze most of the batch, and just pull out a bag of them now and then to last us a few days.

Not sure if you guys have them around you but Hershey's makes cinnamon chips! YUMMMMMY. I use the recipe for "healthified pumpkin bread" on eatbetteramerica .com. It has flax seed and 1/2 th oil and sugar and ALL The FLAVOR!!!!! I gave it to the teachers for christmas, I still get asked to make it!

I haven't seen the applesauce sticks like gogurt. Do you know what brand these are? That would be great for some fruit on the go!

instant oatmeat. bring along a little brown sugar and some raisins.

Carnation instant breakfast drinks.

oscar meyer makes a precooked bacon. you can microwave in 20 secs a couple slices to have on the bagel for DH. does not require refridgeration.

keebler peanut butter crackers are great. energy bars / granola bars.

the dollar stores sell milk that does not need refridgerating. not sure how it tastes . i have bought soy milk that is great and doesn't need fridge.

They carry them at my local health food store. They are walnut grove or something like that, they come in different flavors too. My mom said they also sell a similar product on amazon, more like a pouch than a tube... but like the ones we get they are all natural, no sugar added etc.
