Over the River and Through the Woods to Mickey's House We Go! And Grandma is in Tow!

I also bought her a cute little Vera Bradley card holder.

When we went to Disney in August, 2009, I had a business card holder in my billfold with John's business cards in it. I decided to try putting our room key/ticket and my driver's license on one side and my "folding" money on the other side. (I know. I sound like my Mamaw....folding money.:lmao:) Anyway, I wanted to see how it would work while we were in the park. I stuck the card holder down in my pocket and it fit perfectly. Whenever I needed our tickets or I needed my money, all I had to do was pull out my card holder instead of digging around in the backpack. Soooo much easier! Why didn't I think to do this 13 trips ago?

Great idea on how to use the card holder. My DD, went to a birthday party for Vera Bradley at one of their big stores at The Summit, in Birmingham. Everyone who went , got little "happys" for attending---a card holder. She's never used it, so I'll need to confiscate that! ;) They had door-prizes, and DD won in the first drawing. There were about 5 packages all wrapped in VB wrapping paper. She chose one, and won a Frill cosmetic case and duffel (I can't remember the names of all the Frill styles---too many initials like text-talk!)

:lmao: about the "folding money"---must be a southern thing!

You are so right. We are much to young. We must've had them when we were 5!

:lmao:

I will smell that detergent when I get to Walmart tomorrow night.

I did book preferred for our May trip because I know how hard it is for me to walk right now so I can't imagine how it is going to be at Disney. I may have to rent a scooter to ride around on. I will see how things are closer to our trip.

I even made John smell of the detergent to see if I was just plain crazy. I wasn't!

I understand why you booked preferred 'cause of your leg. I started a thread over on the disabilities forum about renting scooters. Mama doesn't know if she might need one. Trying to find the cheapest, most convenient options.

I couldn't believe how convenient the card holder was. Just put our Keys to the World cards in it and my "folding" money and slipped it in my pocket. Super easy!

Ooooh, I'd love to go to a Vera Bradley birthday party! I am not a girly girl but I like Vera Bradley.

My grandmother always called any denomination of dollar bills her folding money. Like you said, probably a Southern thing.;)

Okay...how the heck did I miss this? Where have I been? Living under a rock no doubt. Well, I'm here now girlfriend! :)

I love the detergent reference!! There are just some smells that evoke strong memories! How cool that you found one that can take you to CBR every time you do the laundry!

Funny story....

I've been doing a "nutrition overhaul" in my life..just eating healthier and being aware of what I put in my mouth. Bread is really the only thing I have really been missing. (i can eat it, just not as much as I'd like!) Anyway....last night I had a dream about being at WDW and eating homemade bread! LOL! The two things I miss the most! :lmao: Just thought I'd share with someone who wouldn't think I was nuts! ;)

We were really happy with online check-in as well and will probably use it for our upcoming trip. We had even made requests last time and all but one was granted.

I'm heading to Walmart tonight, so I'm going to be checking out their detergent!!! Every time we stay at Pop, we've noticed a lavender type of fragrance also....even the boys have noticed it! We found some hand soap that reminds us of it and it's so funny because when we first got it...Noah would say "Hey Mommy, my hands smell like Disney":rotfl: It was so cute!!

I buy the walmart lavender bleach, not because it reminds me of disney I just like it. (maybe it does remind me of disney and thats why I like it?):) River calls those frozen peanut butter and jelly sandwichs that are like a pocket sandwich "Disney sandwhichs" Can't wait to hear more.

I especially love to go to a VB birthday party when they're giving out door prizes! Now.....I've got to find that card holder!

Just popping in to say HI!

HI!

a VB party that sounds like fun! I have not gotten in to VB but I have seen something on the webstie I really liked...I usually stick with leather esp. w/ a three yr old (sippy cups, snack cups)....maybe when I grow up:rotfl:
But, I bet Gwendolyn would like their hipsters; bday coming soon; thanks for the ideas!!!

Hope you stay warm through th weekend!
:sunny: have a great one!

I understand about spills, especially if you're out somewhere---no one wants to walk around with a wet bag. But, the signature cotton VB is machine washable. There is a card in each bag with the directions. I've washed some of mine before, and had no problems.

I wish I could find a product that smells like the Monorail. Its hard to explain but it has a bit of electrical/grease/AC smell to it :confused3. WOW as you can tell I really miss Disney :sad2:. I hope Momma had great birthday:banana::cool1::rotfl2:

I did online check in for our May trip too! Number 1, it was very exciting to "checking in" 10 days before the trip even started. I felt like I was already on vacation! My plane landed at 9:30, we were checking in by 10:30 and our connecting rooms were ready! We'll definitely be doing online check in again for September as well!

I'm going to go sniffing around the laundry facilities now when i'm in Disney. In may, we sent Manny to do the laundry while we swam, so i'll have to come and "help in out" next trip to find my new detergent! LOL! We are kinda crazy, but that's why we all gather here!

Now that you've dug yourself out from under the rock, you can come along and read all about my plans.

Poor thing, dreaming about homemade bread AND Disney. I am sensing you are suffering from "Disney and homemade bread" withdrawals. Do I think you are nuts? Absolutely not!

I think I'm going to do online check-in and I'll still call Disney and make sure they have the two reservations linked together. Wouldn't want us to be put in different parts of the resorts.

Noah is my kinda boy for sure!

You probably didn't even realize that you were being reminded of Disney every time you opened the bleach.

Isn't it funny that River thinks uncrustables are Disney sandwiches.

Why haven't any of my friends ever had a Vera Bradley party? I may just have to start a new tradition!

I wasn't that into Vera Bradley until I started ordering Lacey a few things here and there. Then it turned into a mission to find really good Vera Bradley sales. Most of the items I bought Lacey were at least half off regular price.

I understand about spills, especially if you're out somewhere---no one wants to walk around with a wet bag. But, the signature cotton VB is machine washable. There is a card in each bag with the directions. I've washed some of mine before, and had no problems.

I made sure that the duffle bags were washable before I bought Lacey's too. Since they go on so many trips, her luggage gets pretty dirty.

I know that smell! It's a very distinct monoraily smell.

Definitely go sniffing around in the WalMart laundry detergent section. The Great Value purple top smells just like the Caribbean Beach Resort to me.

If I didn't have the Disboards to confess my Disneyitis to then I don't know what I'd do.

Hey Lisa! You must be busy!! Miss ya....hope you had a nice weekend and a great start to your week! :goodvibes

I have been pretty busy. The boss had a doctor's appointment this afternoon so I was finally able to post a trip report installment and then come reply to you guys on this thread.

I was about to post some more plans but my earlier 2009 pictures were on my first photobucket account and I received a bandwidth message. I'm uploading some to my fourth photobucket account right now. Hope to get something posted for you guys soon!

Let's see, I had a lot of emails back and forth with a few people. Then, I had a math problem that I couldn't figure out. I never did make it work. :confused3 I guess I got my blood pressure up trying to figure the darn thing out because I went home with a headache.

Ok, so, I'm not first. But I am here for you Lisa. I will now read as long as the eyes stay open. It can be a test. It's about nap time till lunch. One day pretty much is the same as the one before. Hanging in tho.

Missed you lots

Remember the donut situation? It happened to end up being my fav nurse here that I have. It was her step dad I did those for. She likes me needless to say. I may have told you that before. The memory is truely first to go.

You have absolutely no idea how excited I am to see you posting on the Dis again. I feel very very privileged.

Who knew that a donut or two could help you out in the future? Hallelujah Amen!
