Over the river and through the FUN!

Get some rest MeMom... you must feel pretty terrible to not go to school, since having a sub is so much work! One week till Disney!!!!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Okay, almost caught up!

Oh wow!!! That is all I can say about the Soarin pictures!! I could just smell everything as I looked at them!! Awww, thank you MeMom!!!!!!

Youtube it sometimes. It's got everything but the smell, but you could always peel an orange and light an ocean breeze candle while you're watching. That might add to the youtube experience.

Good luck with everything, MeMom! It's final exam week here so things are crazy as well! We still have three and a half weeks until our spring break though.

Hold onto that Hippy Dippy thought -- it's such a nice thing to think about. :goodvibes

Yeah, the kids have been nuts for about a week. We thought it was just our hall, but in the faculty meeting, we learned it was crazy all over the building.

I'll take some medicine and dream of very big Big Wheels and colorful flowers. Hopefully, it won't turn into a nightmare where the Foosball guys start chasing me! :scared1: I am known for having some strange dreams.

I am SO jealous!!!

You can come, too!

We know, we know! You get to go to WDW ALOT! Stop rubbing it in! ;)

HAve a good day MeMom! :teacher:

See, I was going to bring you back a present, but now you've gone and ruined that for yourself.
It was really something good, too.

Tomorrow may be better. I'll be at home DISing while I'm trying not to swallow 'cuz it hurts too much.

Those pics of Soarin' are GREAT!!! Last time we were riding Soarin', when the ocean scene came, DH leaned over to me and said "and then BAM! a shark jumps out of the water and bites you in your leg!!" :rotfl: We both had a good chuckle out of that one. His favorite parts are the hang gliding and the golf. We both really enjoy the orange grove. So, thank you for reminding me how much I can't wait to ride that ride again.
I had to laugh at Brooklyn's "mad" face. :rotfl: I'd hate for her to get mad at me!!

That's Universal, I believe. ;)
Maybe he could get a job over there at Jaws showing off his scars. :scared1:

I'll take pictures next time Brooklynn is having a meltdown. She has some faces, alright! She's got just a touch of drama in her.

I want to stand by the hippy dippy pool too. Maybe in October for my 45th birthday. Take a moment MeMon when you are standing there and think of all us back here waiting for our turn.:thumbsup2

I will think of all of you, and I'll try to do better with the pictures this time. Since it'll just be two slow ladies, I should be able to take my time more. See, it's really all my family's fault for walking too fast. :upsidedow

Good luck with everything this week MeMom! I'm so jealous that you'll be there next week!!

It's still not real yet.

I'll let myself believe it about Monday night.

Or maybe when we land in Orlando.

Please say hi to the MK for me?:flower3:

Of course, I will.

Lucky duck! I still have to suffer though 2 more weeks before Spring Break. I'm ready because the kids seems to get wilder by the day! I hope I make it!

By the time you're out, we'll be pushing it hard getting ready for the testing. I so hope my principal lets me move down a grade or two next year to a non-TCAP grade.

When the weather gets good, the kids start feeling it, and they can't contain their enthusiasm and desire to be outside. I can't say that I blame them.

feel better!!!!! go get yourself some theraflu and chicken-n-stars soup and knock that cold out before next week! also those zicam spoons that you stir into hot water are great. they knock you out and you wake up feeling better. ;)

I'll get something tomorrow, and some extra sleep should help, too.

******************************************

That's it for tonight. I'm burning up hot right now, so I am going to go turn on the ceiling fan.

I'll put more Epcot pictures up tomorrow.

just saw on the news about a man who shot people in three towns in alabama. i think they said southern alabama and i'm thinking jill's in northern alabama. i hope i'm right! jill, you didn't know anyone involved, did you? so sad. :sad2: such a crazy world.

They are in northern Alabama. I just saw the headlines about that, and I'm going to watch the news in a few minutes to hear details.

We never ever know what the day ahead holds, and this kind of thing is a startling reminder of that.

I think that is the sweetest thing I've ever heard. :lovestruc I can't believe how fast she is growing up!

Jill was just looking at pictures of her from our trip last March and commented on how much she had grown.

Get some rest MeMom... you must feel pretty terrible to not go to school, since having a sub is so much work! One week till Disney!!!!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

I barely have a voice, and since I've been hot all night, I'm sure I have a fever. I can't do much good at school with either of those. I will pay the price on Thursday, though, because I was going to finish my Running Records testing tomorrow, and now I'll have to do it Thursday, so I'll be pushing it up until the deadline.

My co-teacher took my kids at the end of the day so that I could get sub plans ready. Everything is lined up and ready, so I won't even have to go in in the morning for last minute running copies or anything.

Continuing Epcot:

The guys wanted to ride Mission:Space.

We just hung out at the gift shop and then sat outside to wait for them.

Brooklynn thought Mommy's hair needed a little attention.

Hidden Mickey sightings.

IMG_0270.jpg

IMG_0271.jpg

I watched Apollo 11 go up. I remember standing on the side of the road with many, many other cars crowded with people and watching it go up. Now, with all the 'we didn't really go to the moon stories', I'm not sure if it was really that big of a deal!

IMG_0272.jpg

Space food.

IMG_0274.jpg

Then on to Brooklynn's favorite Epcot ride, Nemo.
That's all our group to the right.

IMG_0277.jpg

Dolphins.

IMG_0278.jpg

Just in case you have never ridden Nemo, here's an informational picture of sorts, showing the seating. It's kind of dark, though, but it might help someone who is trying to pre-think out seating on rides for their family. You can seat two adults and a child comfortably, and with two kids, you could put one in your lap and still be fine.

Affter those three rides, it was time to think about food. We like going to Sunshine Seasons, because they have a good variety of things for different wants and tastes. It's a good place to get sit down food in a fast food way.

I happen to love the chicken. It is so tender and it just falls off the bone.
This is my meal, but those are not my chips. I'm not sure who had those.

IMG_0285.jpg

The potatoes and rice were good, too.

Tree close to where we sat.

IMG_0286.jpg

IMG_0287.jpg

Random t-shirt in the Soarin' gift shop.

IMG_0288.jpg

After partaking of food products, we headed to Figment's place.
Brooklynn has developed a liking for him over the past year.

IMG_0290.jpg

Holding her nose during the smelly part.

IMG_0296.jpg

A purple guy.

IMG_0297.jpg

I realize the very famous Barney is a purple guy, too, but can he hang upside down from the ceiling and watch TV.

IMG_0298.jpg

I think not.

More upside down activities.

IMG_0299.jpg

Fun activities for kids after the ride.

A beautiful Florida day.

IMG_0317.jpg

Even the clouds were smiling.

It was time for Jarvis to be initiated into the world of free Coke by sipping the Beverly.

A totally trusting, unsuspecting guy enjoys the chance to sample the variety of drinks.

IMG_0320.jpg

His reaction.

Don't you know how grateful he must be to have friends like us!

Going toward World Showcase.

IMG_0332.jpg

We saw the wise men in Mexico.

IMG_0338-1.jpg

Sweet picture of Jill and Brooklynn as they watched.

IMG_0333.jpg

We knew the China storyteller was coming up, so we headed there next.

IMG_0339.jpg

IMG_0340.jpg

IMG_0341.jpg

IMG_0342.jpg

The Monkey King arrived.

IMG_0344.jpg

Brooklynn immediately pulled the sun shade down over her head and never came back out until the show was over.

IMG_0346.jpg

Monkey King was not bothered by her inattentiveness and continued to delight the rest of the audience with his story.

On to Italy and La Befana.

Break time. More later today.

/
I love the Christmas around the world photos! One more reason why I want to try and go during December!

And Jarvis with his first sample of Beverly -- Awesome!! So much fun to have a Disney newbie in the party!

Those are the best Beverly reaction photos ever! :lmao:

I love the Soarin' t-shirt. Your food from Sunshine Seasons looks really yummy too!

I haven't had a chance to see all the storytellers so I loved these pictures!! I also love the pictures of the kitchen set they sell at Mouse Gears, last time I was there with dad he wanted a mickey kitchen when he saw those!

Next time I go around the holidays I am goign to try to make sure I get to see the storytellers. I don't think we are going to make it this year. With the economy the way that it is, I have to really stop traveling so much. That pic of Brooklynn holding Jill is so cute.

i love the "you are here" mission space t-shirt. might have to purchase that for ray next time, if it's still there. he loves that ride. i like it but i don't do it every trip because sometimes i forget to take dramamine!

Space food.

IMG_0274.jpg

chris bought some of this in december and it was gross!

His reaction.

IMG_0321.jpg

IMG_0322.jpg

that's great! :rotfl2: and i love how he's pouring it out in the second picture.

The Monkey King arrived.

IMG_0344.jpg

i wanted to see this guy but never did!

Brooklynn immediately pulled the sun shade down over her head and never came back out until the show was over.

IMG_0346.jpg

:lmao: i guess brooklynn wasn't impressed.

my second-favorite WS pavilion, the first being morocco. i just love the buildings here!

I know I replied last night, but I swear the DIS keeps on eating my posts!

I love the Beverly reaction pictures! :rotfl2:

I remember having the astronaut ice cream years ago, and I just recall it being kinda chalky.

Another reason for us to attempt to go over the holidays sometime...the storytellers!! I'd love to see them all.

I hope you feel better!

Get well soon!

I work in a school and I forget every year how crazy it gets the week before Spring Break! Ours starts 4/6.

FCAT this week! I know testing is hard on you teachers, but it sure is nice and quiet here in the office while it's going on!

Hope you are feeling better, and the day of rest gives you the energy to teach the next two days. Remember next week will be filled with pixie dust.:wizard:

Great pictures of the storytellers. They made me want to go back this Christmas to watch again first hand.

Tell Brookie that I love the Nemo ride too! I always sing along..."Big Blue World...." :rolleyes1

I just loveeee Epcot and your pictures just make me love it even more! :lovestruc

Christmas around the world looks so amazing. Brooklynn really just loved that Chinese story teller didn't she? :rotfl: And you guys are too sweet to initiate Jarvis like that, I'm sure he really appreciated it ;)

Hope you're feeling a little better MeMom, get rid of that cold before next week!! :goodvibes

Feel better MeMom! I'll make sure to include you in my bedtime prayers.

Thanks. I think my fever has subsided in the past couple of hours. I don't have a voice, though, but that's no big thing.

You would enjoy the storytellers and all the decorations. The boys can see Santa in Downtown Disney, too.

It is fun to bring someone along and watch their reactions. Drew's friend, Sam, has been with us twice, and he thinks it's awesome.

It's not very nice to do your friends that way, is it?
Funny thing is, he's ready to do it to the next unsuspecting victim.
The girl Trent is dating says she wants to come with us sometime, so she could be just the poor soul he's looking for!

I have one Soarin' shirt, although that's not the one.

The food was good. We may eat there for either a snack or a meal next Friday.

I haven't had a chance to see all the storytellers so I loved these pictures!! I also love the pictures of the kitchen set they sell at Mouse Gears, last time I was there with dad he wanted a mickey kitchen when he saw those!

I've thought about getting the storage bowls and the mixing bowl with the pouring spout so many times!

We're going to try to get in a summer trip and a Christmas trip, but everybody is going to be chipping in a lot more on these. I've always tried to pay almost everything (rooms, tickets, food) for everybody on every trip, including guests, and that's part of the reason I'm in a hole. BUT, it was worth it! I loved treating everyone, and I hope to still be able to pay for the rooms and the big 'all group' meals on every trip in the future.

I enjoyed the update. I hope you feel better soon.

I feel better this afternoon, but I'm having to use a whisper voice.

I bet the chicken dinner is gross! I thought that when I looked at it.

Jarvis wasted no time in getting rid of the bad stuff!

The Monkey King came out rather loudly, and I guess it took her by surprise. She didn't cry or even say anything about being scared, but rather put down the cover and just sat there quietly the whole time.

I want to spend a lot more time in Morocco on this trip.

I replied to LL's trip, and it poofed, too. I scrolled through it later and realized I had disappeared.

I've never thought about that. I wonder if our office are especially happy when TCAP is going on. I'm hoping for this is my last TCAP. I've requested a move down. I need a break.

Just reading next Friday makes me excited, and I am not even going!

When will you find out about switching grades?
