Our stay at the Saratoga Springs Resort

I'm just surprised someone actually uses the USB-A charger slots at all to be honest.

Being as I like charging stuff in under 10+ hours I use a USB-C type for pretty much everything - phones, tablets, e-reader, laptop, whatever.

But that's just me, maybe I'm missing out on some amazing awesome features a really slow built in charger offers?

I wouldn't stay here again at .25 points. I could see into dozens of rooms and could easily throw a tennis ball onto dozens of "balconies" or what I would call slivers of concrete with railings. At other DVC resorts, they have USB charging ports in the kitchen and full sized tables in a one bedroom. Also, they've hired actual landscapers. SSR is the K-Mart of DVC.
Wow, that’s a pretty obnoxious thing to say

Okw has them. I was there at the beginning of March in a 2bedroom. There were USBs in the island.
I haven’t stayed in a 1,2 bedroom at OKW, but studios have none and the GV kitchen I don’t recall seeing any. I don’t even remember if there was any in the bedrooms.

Just wanted to add that we stayed at SSR last week as well. We were in a studio in the Grandstand building. We were there to run races, didn't do parks this trip. It's probably been 10 years since we stayed at SSR. Our home is BRV. We loved it and enjoyed our stay. We wandered over to Disney Springs at least 3 times to eat and shop. The landscaping has grown over the years and of course it just underwent refurbishment recently, so I found the resort to be clean, well kept, and very comfortable. I can find things to enjoy about every resort, but for our purposes this trip, SSR was great!

From memory, the 2b only has them in one receptacle in the kitchen, in the plug over the dresser in bed #2, not sure about the master bedroom though. Don't remember, but they weren't anyway near as readily available as at SSR. None next to the beds.
Which resort(s) have USB in kitchens? I don’t recall seeing any at VGF, AKV, OKW and SSR in the kitchens. I don’t think OKW has any USB charging outlets.
Also, if you look at their signature, it shows (proudly, I suppose since they're meticulously listed for all to see) 24 DVC trips, 100% of which have been at OKW, with one of them a split stay at BW (way back in pre-USB 1995). Not sure when the survey of available USB ports might have occurred...

Fake news. It's well known that people who stay at SSR end up with dead devices for days on end because there's literally no way to charge them without dedicated USB slots in the walls.
Only if you’re the one stuck sleeping in the kitchen, apparently.

Where is this?
I don't understand what you mean. The photo was taken a few weeks ago in a refurbished 2bd villa at SSR. The kitchen and living rooms are identical to the referenced 1bd villas, so the Murphy bed receptacles and USB ports are in the exact same spot in a 1bd. It's a view of the kitchen to the right, and the white cabinet on the left is the living room queen Murphy bed. The receptacle and USB port is right where the arrow is. Here's a better view.

Oh, and I forgot to mention earlier: there is ALSO a receptacle and USB ports on the kitchen facing end of the single Murphy bed below the TV, which is even closer at maybe 3 feet from the kitchen sink and the coffee maker (see photo in Post #23). I'll look for a photo.

There we go. Oh, and that's a screen cap from a video tour of a 1bd villa. So, there are actually 4 USB ports within 6 feet of the kitchen counter in an SSR 1 or 2bd villa.

Thank you for this. We are staying at SSR next week for the first time and I got a little nervous.

We have spent 2-4 weeks at SSR each January/February for several years. No parks, just our Florida home away from home (even though our DVC home is HHI). We love the seclusion, the ability to walk or boat to Disney Springs or other resorts, the pools. Everyone has their own opinion but i think OP is just ranting.

The OP had a nice review. It was another poster that was ranting.

About the usb ports in the kitchen thingy, those are GFI outlets. And as a non certified but Goofy electrician myself, I don't like having the USB ports in the GFI outlets. After a bit, they seem to trip the ground fault indicator more often than usual. Has nothing to do with what is plugged in, just more about the closeness of USB ports to the hot wire connection coming to the outlet. They shouldn't trip them, but they do.

I have always put regular GFI outlets sans USB ports. Recently though I use GFI breakers for all bathrooms and kitchens and can use regular outlets with usb ports, but that might be an expense Disney doesn't want to forego as the breakers are expensive.

As a general contractor and former indentured sevant to an electrician, I was going to mention the GRCI issue, but figured it was a bit too technical, but 100% right.

I also prefer GFI breakers over running receptacles downstream from the GFCI device.
