After we had the girls picture taken yesterday, we had to drive up to Memphis and drop off daddy's truck (Kim's daddy). He works on a dredge on the river, and needed his truck to get home next week. While we were in Memphis, Kim drove us past Graceland, it was really cool all lit up with Christmas lights

We watched that today! LizzY saw it for the first time!

I think one of my favorite parts of that movie... is the part where Chevy Chase goes sledding down the hill at warp speed. I laugh every time at that.

Yeah its about time. What did she think about it?

Her favorite line was something like "this is going to be the best Christmas since Bing Crosby tap dances with Danny *****Kaye!" I had totally forgotten about that line, but Lizzy and I always watch "WHITE CHRISTMAS" together so she thought it was so funny!

unfortunately not. We didn't even think to bring the camera with us.

We had a couple scary moments on the trip too. We saw 2 really bad accidents. One of them happened about 10 cars in front of us, and tons of people stopped and helped (I was glad to see that). It's amazing how anyone lived through that crash. It was really bad. The other one was being cleaned up off the side of the road as we drove by. Don't know any of the details on that one.

Yeah its really funny till your kids actually try it at home...

We dont' have any hills here around Baton Rouge. Everything is pretty much flat. You have to drive at least half an hour north before you get to even the teeniest hill

We told him we've been good girls this year, and asked for lots of bones and toys. Anyway, we'll let daddy have the keyboard again.... oh btw... Here is our picture.

We are going on Wednesday to cut ours down. We are supose to have a sleet storm that day so it should be fun..

oh....sounds like a blast!!! (of cold frigid air)

Last year wasnt' too bad. But the year before.. It was a freakin blizzard.. At least a foot and a half of snow we got our van stuck and had to push it out.. You couldnt' see 2 feet in front of ya. Oh that was the fun year. Oh and the year before that when they didn't tie it down right on the roof of our van and it flew off of it going down the expressway.. (we got it back too)

Last year was just the big tree year. I thought it was National Lampoons Chrismas vacation all over again.

Can't wait to see what this year brings...

Kelly is gonna pick a day for everyone to open their gifts together... It can be opened anytime during that day but it has to be opened on that day.. So Kelly Post which day you want it to be and we will follow.. We will then post on here what we got and from whom.. Stayed tuned for further details..

Let's go with Saturday the 22nd. This gives the post office plenty of time to deliver the packages!!!
And it will be a great start to Christmas Weekend!!!
