We booked for 5 people at pop century, may 10-15 and then a seperate ROOM only cause flight were to ridiculous. by staying a night room only, no dp and no tix, we save $50

so... 2 adults, 8 yr old, 3 yr old, 1yr old....

Kids stay and play offer
5 day tix
Plus dining

We are paying 1698.60

the extra night is costing me 98 dollars.

Is that the best we can do, or is there suggestions for something better? do you think FD will come up?

We're booking Sept 28-Oct 5. Used Small World Vacations. Staying at All Star Movies right now, but going to switch to Pop Century (Saves me $118 going from preferred to stansard). 2 adults and 2 kids. We have 7-day park hopper with water park option tix. Not including insurance, I was quoted $1,868 (All Star Movies). So Pop Century is $1,750. No food plan. (We stop at Walmart on the way in and pick up coolers and breakfast foods to save $.)

We are getting two rooms, but here is what we have for 1 room in May:

2A/2C tix w/ Kids Free
3 nights value room w/ Kids Free
3 nights DDP
2 nights ROOM ONLY with PIN

Total $1265

The only thing OOP left is 2 days of food, which could be done for $114 per day (same as DDP cost per day), or possibly less if we only do one park meal those two days.

This brings us to $1493 or less total for 5 nights w/ tix and dining.

but why not pay $50 to have an extra DAY of food -- 2 more quick service meals and 2 more snacks per person. If you're going to be there, I don't see the point of not having the meal plan the additional night.

How many days are your tix for? 3 or 5? If 5 day tix, did you have to pay for days 4&5 for the kids? If yes was it full price for 2 days or traditional cost to add 2 park days to a 3 day ticket?

I think what you have is fine unless they offer the free dining. We are going in June with 2A DD8 DD 20mo and DN 6 and did the kids stay free since BIL did not decide to go until after it ended :) I went ahead and went with CSR since for 6 nights it was not that much more and then the first night did the same as you and did a room only with the room discount instead since we will be arriving late.

I had priced out several options and unless we moved to a deluxe, with BIL could not do, then this was the best way for us. I got him a room only reservation with the room discount and that saved him a little more since niece will be with us and the kids play free ticket :)

Just the additional cost was then 250 dollars, not 98 and maybe 20 in food.

Sure sounds like you saved more than $50 then.

you must have a room-onl- discount for the night of room only...i just read it wrong the first time..now I understand your thinking. :) To have the the extra night on the package you would have paid full price for the room plus the cost of the dining plan (which would have been about $90).

enjoy your savings and your trip!
