Our Anniversary Week at the Happiest Place on Earth!! TR DONE 8/30 SOUVENIR POST SOON

Great update! It sounds like you guys had a great night! Sorry about the bartender in ESPN! I hope you got a better margarita at some point during the trip! Maybe in Mexico!

It must have been sooo nice to watch Wishes on the beach at Poly! That's one thing we didn't get to do on our trip!

BTW, congrats on the change to your trip! I'm still jealous that your staying at AKV before me ;)

I can not wait to meet you guys! This is going to be the first time meeting your Dis friends and there's going to be like 100 of us. :lmao: Everyone is super sweet though. And there is so much to see and do during the holidays. The Osborne lights are the BEST! Plus you're getting an extra day!!! HELLO!!!! Perfect! :yay::woohoo::dance3::banana:

Great update btw, even w/o the pictures. :hippie:

I love visiting all the different resorts!

Yay for a fun DIS meet! It's great that you'll get to see all the Christmas decorations. That's the best!

Visiting the resorts was so fun! I'd like to hit up the mods next time.

I'm superrrr excited for the big Dis meet! I can't wait for it and the Christmas decorations!

Oh, no problem! :goodvibes

:thumbsup2 :goodvibes

Nope not yet anyways! :rotfl:The GG's we have planned are in August where I will First meet Tammy and her family and DisneyQuilter and her family and maybe a few others! :thumbsup2

Ohhh ok, I wasn't sure if the GG's were in August or the other trip. Thats so cool! You'll get to meet everyone before Christmas time :thumbsup2

What a long but fun day! It is so fun to visit other resorts  Even tho you had a long boat ride at Yacht/Beach club area, it's fun to experience everything the Epcot resorts have to offer. I agree that it can be very confusing to get from Boardwalk or Yacht/Beach Club via boat if you are new to visiting those resorts. When we stay at BWV we usually just walk to Epcot and take a boat to HS. But our last morning we had character breakfast ressies at Cape May and we couldn't decide if we should head left out of the Boardwalk resort and walk towards Yacht Club or head right and walk towards ESPN and head to Beach Club. We thought about taking the boat but that totally confused us and thought we could walk faster. We ended up walking right towards ESPN to Beach Club and when we left after breakfast, we headed towards the Yacht Club way and that seemed much closer. (sorry for the long story!!)

The Poly is a beautiful resort. I got to see it when we had Aloha Dinner show back in 1997 and agree with you that it is amazing. Love your TR so far - can't wait now to hop onboard your PTR!

Oh jeez thats a confusing story there and don't apologize for it, I want to hear everyones stories etc! Thats what the TR is for :thumbsup2 It was a little confusing but i should have realized before we got on the boat to Epcot before we got there LOL Oh well, you live and learn.

I am sooo in love with the Poly. One dayyy :cloud9: Glad you're enjoying the TR! Pictures will be in all the rest of the posts LOL Hope you joined the PTR, I didn't check it yet.

The night was really great, relaxing. The bartender at ESPN was just not good. Ugh, annoyingggg! Let's not get me started on the Mexico margaritas either...you'll hear about those later  You guys definitely need to try and see Wishes from the Poly beach when you go back in Jan!

You're jealous I'm staying there first but I'm MORE jealous that you OWN there!! :yay:

Tammy I'm soooo freakin excited about the big Dis meet! Actually I'm a little nervous to meet everyone too :confused3 idk I'm crazy LOL I can't wait to meet everyone and really check out all the Christmas decorations. It's a dream come true! Glad you liked the update even without the pictures :headache:

Farrah was actually the first Diser I met. I met some others on that trip as well and by December I was doing a grand gathering with one. I met a bunch of people in May and in August I'm doing a huge GG with Goofy22 and DisneyQuilter. Then in Dec it'll be the biggest meet EVER! I'm sure it will continue to grow. We still have to add Becky's family and the "Jennifers" are all in the planning process. ;) You probably already feel like you know me anyway...:rotfl2: It's all fun! I've been talking to Amanda and Heather forever too. I can't wait to meet everyone!

How exciting you are going now for the big DIS meet!

2 minutes before we got off the bus it started to rain again. Not hard at all but just enough to annoy me. Luckily, it ended after about 5 mintues! :thumbsup2

I forgot about this rain storm. I know exactly where I was...leaving Buzz Lightyear and heading into dinner at Cosmic Rays!

We kept walking to the outside so we could head for the beach. We got a little lost along the way (don't ask me how! LOL) but made it back to the beach. OMG I seriously was in heaven. I loveeeeeee the Poly!! We grabbed 2 beach chairs and laid down to wait for Wishes to begin. Chris actually fell asleep waiting...I was too cold to sleep! OMG, I had on capris and a sweatshirt and I was shivering cold. The wind was just going through me! It certainly wasn't a cold day but that night probably dropped down a bit and it was colddd...like in the 60s probably  Soon Wishes started! Ahhh I was about to cry! I loved it! It was sooo magical to see it from the Poly beach.

We waited FOREVERRRRRR for a bus.

Again, I know exactly where I was while you were waiting on the beach. DS had fallen asleep so DH and I grabbed a spot in front of the castle for the parade/fireworks and just sat and waited for like 2 hours while DS slept. He really slept for about 3 hours that night! Craziness.

It's kind of weird to be remembering my trip and where I was/what I was doing, while reading your TR of completely different places :yay:

very cool that you guys watched wishes from the poly beach! i bet it was awesome! i've seen it from narcoosee's (at the GF) and i've seen it on live video from the poly but i definitely want to do it some day live and in person.

getting around disney world can be such a pain! next time (if you're ever in the situation again) if you're trying to get to the BW take a bus to DHS instead. it's very close to the BW - you can either walk or take a boat there. also there's epcot - it's less than a 10-minute walk from the international gateway to the BW, but of course you'd have to walk through all of future world, canada and england before you got there. also, the walk from the BC to epcot is like 5 minutes - way quicker than the boat! like i said, it's a pain until you try these things and remember them from personal experience. it's trial and error!

Thats so cool that you've met so many Disers already. I'm nervous to meet everyone but really excited. Even Chris is excited for the meet! I do feel like I know you guys, a little bit anyways, since we all talk on here so much and post pictures and talk about our everyday lives. So it will be really nice to actually see everyone in person. :thumbsup2

How exciting you are going now for the big DIS meet!

Yeaahhhhhh I'm sooo happy! you're going to WDW again again though! I mean the new trip you guys have planned. Ahhhh to be in DVC :cloud9:

Craziness. awww your poor little man was pooped! at least he slept and didn't melt down. I was about to have a meltdown waiting for a bus to get back to ASMo to get to beddd! LOL

Definitely is cool, but weird too LOL

seeing wishes from the poly beach was amazing. i bet seeing it from narcoosee's was wonderful too though. what a view!

getting around disney is a pain especially going resort to resort! i wish we could rent a car but i just dont see the point in doing it at this time of our lives. if we had kids it would be a different story. maybe when i move down south i can stop flying to disney and just have my OWN car there! :thumbsup2 thanks for the advice on getting around the BW area!

Just getting caught up. You are going to have so much fun going at Christmas time. If you thought you couldn't love WDW more, wait until you see it all decked out w/ holiday stuff. That is my favorite time of year to go. The Osborne lights rock! :worship:

Resort-hopping is one of our favorite things. I think we are going to try to watch Wishes from the Poly on this trip. Everyone talks about it and I feel like we are missing out on something really cool. I bet you guys were exhausted at the end of that day.

I'm sooo thrilled to get to go during Christmastime. Christmas is my favoriteeeee even when I'm just at home so mixing Christmas with Disney is a dream. I can't wait to see the Osborne lights!!

We were totally pooped by the end of the 2nd day but it was totally worth it. I would HIGHLY recommend watching Wishes from the Poly. It was beautiful, peaceful and romantic. :thumbsup2

I'm still here too! And I'm with you about Christmas time being my favorite and I have been wanting to goto Disney at Christmas time forever! And this was a good excuse to meet my fellow disers and Value season and AKV :woohoo:Can't wait for the Osborne Lights and MVMCP!!

I'm still reading!

Thank you!! :worship: I actually just started reading your dining review last night! I'm not all the way through yet but I just have to say your daughter is just precious in all those pictures with Cinderella!!

Yesss thank you Colleen! Disney+Christmas=LOVEEEE  Its just a perfect mix between the price and meeting everyone and of course AKV and the Osborne lights! My parents got home from their anniversary trip today and I told them about us changing our dates so we could meet some Disers and they actually didn't make fun of me, they think its cool  :woohoo:

So i was going to post another update tonight to get this TR moving along but I got in a fight with photobucket again. Have I mentioned how much I hate that site? It just rearranges my pictures into some order that makes no sense so I have to search and search for the pictures I want. And it only lets you upload 250 at a time so then I have to go back and click each individual picture to get the rest. I hateeeeeeee it. Look out tomorrow for another update everyone because I will win the fight against photobucket!!!

Hey! That's cool! Guess what? I didn't tell my DH yet about all the DISERS!!!!:lmao:Surprise! Surprise!Surprise! I'll tell him eventually! He won't mind he worse than a women sometimes OH wait! most of the times!!! :rotfl: I figured I would break him in on our August trip with Onetreehilladdict and Disneyquilter and their families! Good luck with your fight with photobucket i'm sure you will win!!!!!!:)

I do it the old fashion way and do 1 at a time. I just load for the ones I am going to post. I then copy them and write my whole report in word and then copy it and paste it all here when I'm ready. It just works better for me that way. Everytime I do multiples it messes up, so I gave up on it. :confused3

I used to do it a section at a time, too, but then loading 250 at a time seemed so much easier. Because of the way it loads them, you don't always have things lined up as you need them for your report, which is annoying.

Do you know about the Album Organizer section? That will help you find your pictures faster. After about thirty million pictures, I'm finally learning some better ways to do things.

OMG I can't believe you didn't tell you DH yet! I told Chris he's all for it surprisingly. I'm sure your DH will be fine with it if it will make you happy :cutie: Good idea to ease him into it with the August trip first!! Photobucket is still winning but I'm almost there!

popcorn::I'm still here.

yayy thank you!! Working on an update right now :)

Thanks for reading. Claire was in heaven. LOL! :lovestruc:cloud9:

OMG I could tell!! What a dream come true for her :cutie:

Yeah I could try that I just feel like it would take me 7 years to write an update and then the TR would REALLY be moving slow LOL It definitely messes up everytime I try and do more than like 20 pictures at a time. idk what to do! :confused3

I already loaded them all on at once when I got home from WDW but I am redoing them to make them bigger. They're alllll out of order! And NO I didn't know about the album organizer!! That may have just saved me hours! THank you MeMom!!! :thumbsup2

Little life update: Chris and I are starting a healthy eating regime tomorrow. He told me the other day that starting Monday he's giving up soda and fast food and I was able to sway that to mean we'll starting eating better together! It makes it so much easier to diet and be healthy when he's doing it along with me. Everyone keep their fingers crossed for us! I went running this morning and it was really hard so I need to slowly work my endurance back up. Some people may remember when I joined the gym back in January or February. Yea I was doing really good for a while then once March rolled around and school got crazy it went out the window. So instead of wasting more money on a gym membership I'm going to try and do it from home this time. I'm hoping to be able to buy myself Wii Fit sometime soon! So yea just keep your fingers crossed for us please! :goodvibes
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Before I start Day 3 I forgot to mention something back in the last update. If you all remember I had texted the lady who ran the fridge swap and the swapper before me to find out what was going on. I realized that thats not true LOL I first just texted the swapper before me to see what was going on. When she didn't answer me for a few hours I then went ahead and texted the lady who ran the swap. She didn't answer me for a while either but sometime during the night (like 5 hours after I texted her) the swapper before me texted me back and said that she had never picked up the fridge! She told me that when they checked in they went to luggage services and found out the fridge was there for them but then never made their way back to get it! So she told me it still should be in the ASMu luggage area with her name or her sister's name on it. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? YOU TELL ME THIS NOW? AFTER I CONTACT YOU?!?! OMG I was so mad. Fuming. I didn't even write anything back to her because I was so angry. I've spent time and effort trying to track down this fridge and now that I've been in Disney for over 24 hours and I find out that the previous swapper was too lazy and inconsiderate to inform me that she never got the fridge and it wasn't in my name!!

We were not at the resort when this woman texted me and we didn't get back to the resort until after 11 pm and we had plans to be up and out early the next morning. Stay tuned for more with this thoroghly ANNOYING story...

Day 3, Tuesday April 21

So once again I had a wakeup call set to wake us up bright and early this morning. I think I must have had it set for around 6:45 because our reservation for the Mears bus was set for 8 to take us to Islands of Adventure. Again I was so tired but it's wayyyy easier to wake up in Disney than in real life! I got up, showered and once I was done showering I woke up Chris for him to get showered and ready. Like usual Chris was done before me so he grabbed 2 bagels that were part of our Garden Grocer order along with our refillable mug and went down to the food court to fill the mug, toast the bagels and grab some cream cheese while I finished getting ready. Within 10 mins or so he was back and after quickly eating our breakfast we were ready to go.

We were out of the room by 7:50 and like power walked to the front of the resort because I was scared to miss the Mears bus. We got to the front and the bus wasn't even there yet LOL since we had a few minutes I asked the CMs standing at the luggage services if they could call over to ASMu and ask if they had the fridge there since we didn't have time to run over there. So they called and I gave the name the fridge was supposed to be under...was it there?

NO! OMG so they call ASSp and check the ASMo luggage services and NOTHING! I didn't even know what to think but then our bus to IoA pulled up so anything we were gonna do had to wait. We got on the bus and found out it was also going to stop at Sea World. Luckily Islands of Adventure was first. We were tired and I officially look like a heffer on this day so please don't mine the pictures. I hate them all LOL

002.jpg

Of course I need to take one of just me LOL
003.jpg

The bus stopped at the other 2 All Stars, Coronado Springs (this is where Chris decided he wanted to stay there, strictly based on how the bus stop looked LOL) and Pop Century. After that we were on our way and after a short time we arrived here...

005.jpg

006.jpg

And headed to the left to enter...
007.jpg

008.jpg

We entered IoA at around 9:05 so the park had JUST opened, just as I had hoped. We first saw this and got sooo excited..
009.jpg

The Hulk!! Chris and I are HUGE rollercoaster junkies...HUGE! We'll both go on anything at least once and usually we love it and want to ride it over and over. We have no fear! LOL Chris had ridden the Hulk before when he was younger and knew that I would love it too. We practically ran to The Hulk and then realized I needed to leave my bag in a locker because you couldn't take anything extra on the ride. So we went over to the lockers and it was free to lock up our stuff for 25 minutes I believe. Things secure we went back over to the Hulk queue and walked right through the entire thing. Within less than 5 minutes we were on the ride.

Wooooo it was great!! Except for the fact that it banged my head around like crazy! It kind of put me in a bad mood considering I was tired and now had a headache. :headache: I decided since there was no line and we still had time on the locker to ride it again anyway! So again with a less than 5 minute wait we rode the Hulk for the second time!! Great ride! Don't ride it if you don't like rollercoasters though or think that Expedition Everest is scary. This is worse, way worse LOL

Then we wanted to head across the park to Dueling Dragons since thats the other big rollercoaster of the park. Of course I was taking pictures the whole way because Dueling Dragons is literally at the other end of the park.

010.jpg

011.jpg

My favorite area of the park. The themeing here was sooooo cool and colorful and cute. I think I liked it because it reminded me of Disney themeing LOL

017.jpg

This was so cool because it was crooked as if it was falling apart. It was called Poseidon's Fury.
018.jpg

019.jpg

Wish we would have eaten here. More about that later...
020.jpg

021.jpg

Here they were working on the new Harry Potter section of the park. It sounds like its going to be pretty cool.

Coming up next:: our daring ride on Dueling Dragons and some NOT-SO-Disney lunch...
