Well, today is the big day, or at least that's what the TA says!!! Sure hope you get your docs today!!!

Geese, you guys are so on the ball with getting things done for the trip! I'm the one who does everthing last minute! Actually, I did sit down yesterday and started writing down all the things that I need to accomplish before we leave so thats a plus! No whether I get them all done on not, that's a whole nother issue!

So how far do you guys actually live from the airport, or are you just saying at the hotel for the night b/c it's cheaper then paying for parking at the airport? I am so glad that I live 5 minutes away for PHL! Makes things so easy! Then again when there are huge jet liners taking off at 2am, it can totally wake up you out of a sound sleep!

I worry about the same thing! But then I'm the dufus who is past security and at the terminal 2 hours before boarding....just in case!

I do the same thing... Then I have to listen to the kids ask when are we getting on the plane?? Umm, never if you keep asking me!!!

Thank you! I told my mom yesterday that I don't think the head of the Air Force ever had a mother... This whole unknown thing just sucks! i need them to send me a planning binder for Bagrum with all the info we need with some nice pictures and menus for restaurants... Is that too much to ask??

Dude... If those docs don't get here today, I am going to have to be put in a padded room... I couldn't sleep last night and my stomach is in knots... This is just nuts... I told my parents about it last night and my Mom is ready to "go all ghetto" if she needs to...

We are an hour from the airport... It was the same price to just park or to stay at the hotel... our friend Jordan was going to drive us up and keep our van but then he would have had to be up at 2 with us and this just seemed so much easier... I am a pretty nervous traveler until that plane gets in the air... So the night before the flight will be full of puking and stomach cramps and probably some crying...

My parents came over and gave the kids each a Disney gift card with $100 on them!!

So now they have more than enough money for the trip...

I asked where my gift card was...

Terry and Tailor got new sandals yesterday... He springs it on me yesterday, in September that he wants sandals for the trip... Where was this info a few months ago when all the stores had sandals???

He got lucky, we found him some Columbia sandals at Fred Meyer and they were on clearance! 20 bucks...

We found a new pair for Tailor also for 15 bucks...

Okay so we are going to HS on the 20th and they have now added a second Fantasmic! for that night...

Which one should we go to?

Which one would be less crowded?

I think 2nd one would be less crowded. That's usually how it is for party parades, etc. I can see how some families would see the first show and then head home with their tired kids!

Documents did not arrive today...

Yeah, the ones I paid to have overnighted and was guaranteed by Disney to be here by UPS today...

Our TA called today and I could tell right from the start she was miffed... Not the normal tone in her usually cheery voice... She tells me they didn't come... She called Disney, and get this one...

They have not even printed them to be shipped yet...

Yeah, you read that right...

When my TA was told that, she got really mad and got a supervisor on the phone... She went off and he listened, did some checking and sure enough they have dropped the ball big time... He called the department that handles the docs and shipping and said that he would personally see to it that our docs were delivered by the 8th... Exactly one week prior to our check in...

She told them that this was not the clients issue this was Disney's issue and he would be crediting our account for the 10 dollars they charged Monday to be guaranteed the docs today... He agreed and refunded our money...

I then got a call from Disney not long after hanging up with my TA... Same guy she talked to I think... Either that or he had someone else call.. Basically they called me to take the heat off my TA... Said it is all their fault, they never shipped out the docs when they said they would, the set that they said they sent the 10th of August, they never shipped... neither did the ones they said they sent last week, and the set from Monday... Said we were not the only ones with problems getting our docs right now, and they obviously have a issue in that department... He told me that since August 20th my TA has called a minimum of twice per week... She was told they were on the way every time or that they would be printed and shipped again... I was promised I would have them the 8th by UPS, They would print tomorrow and ship out Monday and get here Tuesday... I will believe it when I see it...

I asked what happens if we don't get our documents, and was told our reservation is fine, it won't mess anything up and they will print the vouchers at the resort... Said that I wouldn't have the luggage tags but they could send those out after we get home, I told him I really don't give a rats booty about the luggage tags... I just want to go on my vacation and be done with all of this...

So, there you have it... I am irritated that they can't seem to get it together, but I will not let it ruin anymore of my trip... We leave in 11 days for the airport hotel and fly out in 12 so we are getting close... I don't want anything else to hinder the excitement... Make sense?

As for our TA, I think she dropped the ball in the beginning regarding the docs... And I think she should have given us the option to over night the docs a week or two ago... But the docs not being printed or shipped is all Disney... I will book Disney vacations on my own from now on... I know everything that I need to know to be able to do that...

That is a darn good question... I wonder if he meant mail out on Saturday or if we will see them on Wednesday instead...

I don't even care at this point... I need to call the TA tomorrow and see if she gives us the AAA stuff or if that comes from Disney also, that is all that we would have used out of there anyways... The AAA Storytime and the diamond card...

Wow I havent been on in a day and I was 3 pages behind!

I'm sorry your doc's havent come yet, Hopefully it will all be resovled by next week & if not they need to compensate you guys somehow for the trouble they have caused you.

I think the 2nd show might be less crowded for you guys to watch. I agree that tired families may leave after the 1st show.

I just saw today that they have extended a few days hours for the parks, like Sat 19th MK is open till 10pm now. I was so excited! 20th HS is open till 9:30 & I wasnt going to watch Fantasmic since We've watched it quite a few times in DL but now I might watch it, not 100% sure though cuz we are supposed to do EMH at MK. MK is open till 9pm with EMH from 9-12am!
