Documents did not arrive today...
Yeah, the ones I paid to have overnighted and was guaranteed by Disney to be here by UPS today...
Our TA called today and I could tell right from the start she was miffed... Not the normal tone in her usually cheery voice... She tells me they didn't come... She called Disney, and get this one...
They have not even printed them to be shipped yet...
Yeah, you read that right...
When my TA was told that, she got really mad and got a supervisor on the phone... She went off and he listened, did some checking and sure enough they have dropped the ball big time... He called the department that handles the docs and shipping and said that he would personally see to it that our docs were delivered by the 8th... Exactly one week prior to our check in...
She told them that this was not the clients issue this was Disney's issue and he would be crediting our account for the 10 dollars they charged Monday to be guaranteed the docs today... He agreed and refunded our money...
I then got a call from Disney not long after hanging up with my TA... Same guy she talked to I think... Either that or he had someone else call.. Basically they called me to take the heat off my TA... Said it is all their fault, they never shipped out the docs when they said they would, the set that they said they sent the 10th of August, they never shipped... neither did the ones they said they sent last week, and the set from Monday... Said we were not the only ones with problems getting our docs right now, and they obviously have a issue in that department... He told me that since August 20th my TA has called a minimum of twice per week... She was told they were on the way every time or that they would be printed and shipped again... I was promised I would have them the 8th by UPS, They would print tomorrow and ship out Monday and get here Tuesday... I will believe it when I see it...
I asked what happens if we don't get our documents, and was told our reservation is fine, it won't mess anything up and they will print the vouchers at the resort... Said that I wouldn't have the luggage tags but they could send those out after we get home, I told him I really don't give a rats booty about the luggage tags... I just want to go on my vacation and be done with all of this...
So, there you have it... I am irritated that they can't seem to get it together, but I will not let it ruin anymore of my trip... We leave in 11 days for the airport hotel and fly out in 12 so we are getting close... I don't want anything else to hinder the excitement... Make sense?
As for our TA, I think she dropped the ball in the beginning regarding the docs... And I think she should have given us the option to over night the docs a week or two ago... But the docs not being printed or shipped is all Disney... I will book
Disney vacations on my own from now on... I know everything that I need to know to be able to do that...
