elfontheshelf.com but for some reason is really slow to load
I am wondering if any of you could help me...This is a question about a certain Elf. When my Mom was younger her and all her brothers and sisters got an Elf, that she loved and adored. It was not the cutest thing by any means, but it still had sentimental value. Over the years she kept him and recently we have moved and he got lost in the move.I am wondering if any of you would be able to help me find an Elf that looks like hers did, it looks kind of like the Elf on a Shelf, with the pointed nose, but this ones legs came up through his arms, my Mom is in her forties now, so this elf is probably about 30 years old, I know I won't be able to find the exact one, but I want one similar. So I am looking for an elf, similar to the Elf on a Shelf, but slightly bigger and his arms come up through his legs?? Any help on helping me find this or ideas on where to look would be sooo appreciated!
Have you tried ebay? There are lots of little elves like that on there. HTH
I searched ebay for Kneehuggers: http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trksid=m38&_nkw=kneehugger Maybe one of these is similar.
Thank you so much! I had looked on ebay before but was not sure of the keywords to look for; kneehugger, pixie elf, japan, 60's!! This worked out perfectly! Thank You...Thank You....I hope you and your family have a wondeful Christmas! I know it is early, but this will help me make my Mom's Christmas a lot happier!

How tall are the elves? I looked up some on Amazon, but I can't tell from the description. I wanted to just purchase an elf separately and not get the book. TIA
So I just told DH that an elf was coming to stay with us. TALK ABOUT HILARIOUS! He had no clue what I was talking about...
Me: I'm so excited! We're gonna have an elf come stay through the holidays with us!
DH: What?
Me: An elf!
DH: Where is he going to stay?
Me: In a sleeping bag...
DH -blank, speechless face-
Me: The whole family is going to have elves this year!
DH: Amanda, you know I am scared of midgets!
ROFL! I know that's not politically correct but he thought I was going to hire a "little person" to come live with us to be an "elf"!

Phooey, I don't have a Target near me!!!!!!
Oh I loved their Dollar section.
BUT Lowe's workshop for kids is on December 5th, and they're making Gingerbread Houses out of wood, so this will be the perfect house for our elf!
