Since your elves come to life only at night, do you move them during the daytime. For example, if the kids wake up to find the elf playing candyland on the table or floor, do you put it all away and move the elf to a spot for the day? And no playing with the elves, right, so how do you explain that? (I forget what I did last year)
You can do this however please you. I will clean up messes each day unless it is something that can be left up and the kids can move the elf to a designated location each night. I do not mind kids messing with the elves during the day as long as they do not go MIA.
forgive me for not reading the whole thread... I have to pick up kids pretty soon.
What are your elves... are they like a beanie baby? do the kids actually see them or are they make believe and never seen? this is a fun idea but I am not sure how you are doing this. Also I am guessing your 8-9 year olds and above know this is just a fun Christmas game or not? My daughter (9) informed me last week she knows who Santa is, so I could not see her falling for this.
They very... Our set is about the size of a barbie doll, plush and bendable.
Yes, MOST kids know it is a game mom and dad are playing with them but just like santa- it remains unspoken!
