Our Elf came to our home last year - her name is Peppermint Joy, or "PJ" for short.
She was SO much fun last year!! Now it's going to be tricky coming up with new ideas for this year.
So far I went to Target and bought in the dollar section a Gingerbread pop-up tent (it says it's for pets) that I thought she could sleep in one night. Target also had in the dollar section a Gingerbread hardcover kids book - so she'll leave that for the kids. You could also do a smores night with it.
Last year she played checkers using the Christmas peppermint patties as playing pieces.
She bought them the movie Elf and was caught on the couch with the remote and popcorn on the couch. Pj also left Christmas kisses in their bathroom sink and was lying in it as though she took a bath.
I found last year Elf cookies (single wrapped) at
Walmart and I made it look like she cooked them and left a mess for the kids to clean up.
She used toothpicks one night as fishing poles(with marshmellows attached) and was fishing in some hot cocoa.
She took the van out for a run to Mcd's and left the car parked crooked. Left them each $5 GC's to there.
PJ also was found kneeling at our manger and left them a book about the nativity.
She left a trail one night of candy canes and left them a book about the legend of the candy cane.
Hmmm, what else did she do....she toilet papered their room and was found raveled up in the TP hanging from the celing fan.
She was out by the pool one night on a beach towel catching some moonrays.
She left them money with a note to give the money to the salvation army.
I found an "Elf in training" shirt at Old Navy last year and Pj left that for our youngest. We also found the Elf hats at Wal-mart and she left them one night.
I know they have Elf Kooky pens --need to find those for this year.
Now to come up with new ideas!!! Keep them coming=)
