Hi!

Wanted to see if anyone could give some tips when staying here. Also any pros and cons that you can think of. Last, if you know how is the driving from here to the theme parks?

This is the only Marriott open the days I want to use my rewards for.

Thanks!

The place is huge! I stayed there for a conference last year. It was like three separate hotels with a lobby on the first floor and a food court and conference center underground. The food and drinks were very expensive. I commuted to Universal a few times (I have an AP) but did not look for WDW. I was told that DTD was at the same exit on the other side of the highway. The Nick Holiday Inn is directly across the street and I did take a tour of that facility.

If the price was right, I would stay there again as it is a nice hotel. There are plenty of dining options to choose from, though I would try to avoid eating there due to the cost involved. I did not get into the pool, though it looked lovely.

It said it was only five minutes from the WDW, I am just not sure of that from what I can tell. I really want to be close but if this is all I can get then it will have to do. Free is to hard to pass up. YKWIM?

Thanks!

It is very close to Disney and you don't even have to get on the highway. Just take a right out of the resort and you'll be there in a few minutes. We got to the Poly for breakfast in less then 15 minutes. Make sure you have a map so you'll know how to find your way back but it is that close. We were at the Imperial palm marriott timeshare a month ago. We visited the world a number of days and hung out by the pool. A great place. Lots to do, activity programs, the pool was incredible. There is a food court right there and the kids meals were reasonable for $5. There is also a pool side bar and people all around to take your order. there is even an indoor pool in case of bad weather btu we didn't need it. We visited the spa as well which was nice. A great resort but they are doing some construction on the convention center on the other side of the resort. shouldn't be an issue.

Sounds great! I am just spoiled and use to staying on site. My dad gifted his points to us. :cool1: We will be at the beach for 3 days and at WDW for 3 days. It is Spring Break but I think we will live! lol

Thanks!
