I know this si going to sound silly but when we go to Flordia noting beats FRESH orange juice.... I can get tropicanna or any other brand here at home... Do the counterservices have fresh Oj in the mornings or is it just your typicl bottles?!?

I have never seen anywhere selling fresh squeezed juice at WDW. I agree, it's a shame shame shame, considering people come from all over the world to WDW in Florida, and would like to enjoy some fresh squeezed juice. Actually, I would enjoy the ability to purchase some smoothies or fresh juices anywhere at WDW, and not just orange. It's hard to eat healthy in the parks and resorts.
:(

The only place I found by accident who has fresh squeezed OJ was Brown Derby.
I wasn't feeling so good that day, so I decided to ask for OJ and our server said " Fresh Squeezed"... I was so surprised...

hmm. We always eat at the Brown Derby when in MGM. I'll have to ask for this. Thanks! (won't work for a quick breakfast pick me up when walking by though!)

I read somewhere that all oranges for WDW are from California.

I always go offsite and buy oranges and/or juice. Orange World on HWY 192 Kissimmee is the closest place I know of.

i special ordered it for a breakfast because i'm allergic to the processed kind. the chef said that they don't usually have fresh because of health issues, but can make it if requested. IMHO i think it's just too expensive.

What chef or restaurant were you in?
I have never heard of someone being allergic to processed OJ. What is in it that you are allergic to? Do they add something? Or does pasteurization do something to the OJ that makes you react to it?

Oh one more place I forgot... Spoodles for breakfast.
DBF is allergic to any unprocessed fruits and veggies, so I remembered when he ordered his I drank it because he couldn't... :)

Hi,

How about Fresh (the restaurant) at the Dolphin for fresh juice?

Yes, Fresh does indeed have fresh OJ. They also have a bunch of other combinations of fresh juice. I only remember the Detox because we still laugh about it. "do you need to be detoxed?" when someone was grumpy.

Fresh has a bottomless glass of fresh squeezed OJ. It's fantastic. Their other juices are yummy as well. We actually bought a juicer after eating at Fresh hoping to recreate their Wheat Grass juice blend. Haven't gotten it down yet, but we're having fun trying!

it was definately at breakfast, so i'm pretty sure it was at CRT. my doctor told me that there is yeast used in the making of processed juices (although i can't figure out how), and if i wanted to drink juice it had to be fresh squeezed. i have to avoid both bakers and brewers yeast.

Well I am glad we will have a fridge in our room so I can stop at Orange World.. thanks everyone!!!

Interesting. Not sure I can figure out how either, so don't know if your doc is "right" but either way....interesting! LOL
Thanks!! :flower:

I remember being able to get freshly squeezed oj at a number of WDW restaurants in the past. I miss it.

But I think the "health issues" that the chef referred to was a bacteria in unprocessed orange juice that caused quite a few illnesses a few years ago. Salmonella perhaps? That is when WDW owned restaurants stopped serving fresh juice I believe.

We do enjoy the juices at Fresh. But I sure can understand WDW not taking the risk.

You're right, this is why they stopped serving it. E coli was found in orange juice in California I believe. It's a shame because the fresh squeezed stuff is sooo much better!
