Please help me to get excited about our trip in March 2007. I had originally booked a 2 BR at VWL for my family (myself, my DH, and 2 DD's- 1&4) and my parents. I LOVE the Wilderness Lodge, and have stayed there every year since my honeymoon 12 years ago....I guess it holds some sentimental value.
Well, my parents and DH talked me into changing it to BWV's for a change. So I did, now I am not as excited as I was. Does anyone have any really good feedback on the BWV's? We have a 2 br booked now for pool/garden view and are on the waiting list for boardwalk view.
Thanks all!!

I've never stayed at the VWL (although I really like the theming there). I can tell you that I LOVE the BWV! We just can't seem to get up the nerve to try anywhere else. The location is awesome. I love being able to walk to Epcot or MGM. The atmosphere of the BW at night is nice, too. We like the entertainment and just hanging out with an ice cream or something. Of course, you'll find that everyone has their own tastes and opinions when it comes to the different resorts. I hope you have a great time!

You will love the BWV! We recently stayed there and immediately came home and went on the waiting list for points. ;)

The accessbilitiy to MGM and EPCOT is fantastic, and there is always something going on there.

The dining and entertainment options are the best! Definitely go to Jellyrolls one night.

We have also stayed at the VWL, and loved that as well. It's all good at Disney. :)

I love VWL but only like BWV.

It is definitley not for everyone. BWV is more party cental. So to me it is noiser than VWL or OKW. others disagree.

I do have points here - but only to get the standard view in Oct/Nov or Dec.

The circus animals that sprinkle water by the pool could be a hit for your dd's, and there are activites at the Community Center.

I can't kid you, the VWL is my heartmatch :lovestruc but we have had great experiences and wonderful vacations at each of the on site DVC's. I've heard such good reviews about the Flying Fish that we're looking forward to eating there. I like a more laid back atmostphere, and I've been happy with the area/grounds around the villa pool at the BWV. I like the BWV's lobby and the view from the outside porch.

You are going with people who have asked for BWV, and so, you're giving it a try. :thumbsup2 Wouldn't it be wonderful to find that you love it and that you are happy that you didn't wait longer to try it out!! I hope that happens for you!!!

Bobbi :sunny:

PS. My DAunt's family would chose BWV over all the others!

I think it's safe to say that my family also LOVES VWL.

We tried out BWV and liked it so much that we have a contract there too now!

It is a very different experience than VWL, and we found that appealing. We had never even visited the Boardwalk area in multiple trips to WDW, so for us it was a part of WDW we had never experienced. We found it to be a great location with its own charm and beauty. I am sure you will like it quite a bit.

On that first trip to BWV, we had a pool/garden view overlooking the quiet pool, Community Hall, the canal and Tower of Terror just across the way. It was a beautiful, quiet area and we enjoyed it immensely. We now stay in Standard View rooms but I wouldn't be disappointed if we ended up with a Preferred view like that again.

And of course, you can always visit WL if you get "homesick". :)

We bought BWV and have stayed there every time for 5 years now. Every time we think of switching, and have even booked elsewhere, we change back to the BWV as we love it and can't beat the location. My 7 year old son absolutely loves to watch the magicians, jugglers, etc at night on the Boardwalk. There is so much to do where many of the other resorts lack evening activities.

Lynne,

I have never stayed at any DVC but BWV. BW has location going for it. Walk to Epcot, Walk to MGM. The pool is nice, you have lots of restaurants to choose from, and you can walk to 4 other huge resorts and avail yourselves of the restaurants there. Even if you don't like the decor of the BW, the location is hard to hate (But we happen to love the resort as it is our "home").

Enjoy your stay!
