Yikes! Crazy prices for booking this early.

Fantasy: April 4, 2015 (Easter week) Cat 4C 2A2K, 10,12 $8793 total no ins/trans

Fantasy: April 11, 2015 (one week later) Cat 4C 2A2K, 10,12 $5656 total no ins/trans

For comparison, I looked up our price for this past springs cruise. Same ship, same category, same week (Easter week). It was ~$6300. This is ridiculous!

We were really hoping to book the Fantasy or Alaska in 2015 but with these rates for the Caribbean I can only imagine the Alaska rates!!! We may have to see Alaska on another line.

I'm waiting to get a price confirmation from my TA of the booking with my OBB discount.

In comparison, my dummy booking was for March 7, 2014 for the same 5 night Wonder in a 10C was $2624 with OBB. (so probably about $2915). I had booked this some time after opening day - around May 2013.

Easter is on April 5th in 2015.

I agree that the pricing for early 2015 is cRaZy. I'm hoping that opening day and early reservations will be down enough compared to last year that DCL will price the summer cruises more realistically. Like many others, we're hoping to go to either Alaska or the Med in 2015, but we'll be looking at other lines if prices for those itineraries increase as much as the Bahamas and Caribbean itineraries did!

I guess if you are flexible, then the highly restricted *GT rates are the best right now or wait and sail during September/October.

Thank you! Yes I have noticed that the prices during September/October are very low prices. I'll have to see and book 2014 one in Oct. or wait till it opens for booking for 2015.

For some reason, the DCL site is not listing ANY of the 4-nt Bahama cruises on the Wonder from Miami for dates in Jan - Apr 2015. Must be a computer glitch. Our reservation for 4/8/15 is still there when I log into the Castaway Club site.

I finally got them to show up but you can't click "Miami" just click "Bahamas" and it will show the Wonder 4 night cruises.

Book offseason cruises.
Generally, book early (opening day)
Take advantage of travel agent onboard credit
Book onboard for repeat cruises (discount and Onboard credit)

For instance, Jan 3, 7 day Fantasy cruise is $3629.58 for 2 adults.

The same cruise only one week earlier, ( Dec. 27 ) is currently $7896.24 for 2 adults.
Although it is not first day price (for accurate comparison) the December cruise is $4266 higher than the January cruise one week later.
Note - both cabins are cat 4E with no OBB credit)
