This is what I get for 2A 2C, and it's outside the 18 month window for OBB for me :badpc::

Cat 5A

You can still use your obb. You have 24 months from yesterday. It doesn't matter if you got it 2 weeks ago or 5 years ago. If you go on a cruise next week, you have 18 months to use your new obb. I think a lot of people are confused.

For comparison, I booked fantasy.4/11/15
2A/1C - 5e - total $4331 no obb
That is actually a little cheaper than what I looked at on opening day last year, for march 30, 2014 same cruise.

We paid $4500 for the Fantasy mid-May this year (5B) with no discounts and not booked on opening day and I think the pricing for mid April/15 on the Fantasy (again 5B) wasn't far off of this either. The variances between ships and categories were minimal either way for the timeframe I was looking at.

Magic Western March 15, cat 7A (secret verandah)
2A/1C (17)-5,317.20 PLUS TAXES 273.42 TOTAL -5,590.62
Reflects OBB, no transfers or insurance

We are tied into spring break schedules for another couple of years. It's probably also the last time my youngest can take part in the teen club, so I imagine we will be happy enough with the prices and look forward to the planning!

ok, so this morning we made a change -poor, patient travel agent!
instead of Magic 7 day, we are now on the Wonder, March 15 (5 day) and March 20 (5 day), same cabin, category as the Magic.
for 10 days, price was $60.00 less!
March 15- $2665
March 20- $2865 (reflects OBB)
total $ 5530

I'm happy.:)

No, I am not conufsed. I am sailing in February of 2014 with an OBB, so the 2015 would be a new booking on that cruise and it falls outside the 18 months, which is the problem with DCL's decision on 18 months. It's 19 months from the last time I will be sailing. Now that truly stinks for a policy.

I usually saill in April , but now will be sailing some years in February and some years in April and their new policy doesn't allow this to be used for an OBB even if I were to go every year, which I normally don't. This makes me mad.

We are doing the same thing for 2014. What is really great on ours is,not one of the ports are repeated but it is just 9 days. It was way cheaper than fantasy.

Oh, I gotcha. That is too bad. Sorry.

We booked 3 8C cabins on the Disney Fantasy. Totally $9,378.00, including taxes and fees.
February 21, 2015
8C 2A $3126.00/$1477.00

I checked, 2014 was $1302/per adult on opening day for 8C cabins, Feb 22. So up $172/person..a little more than 10%

We received a $450 shipboard credit from Dreams Unlimited. we should get an additional $100 from Disney Visa. We have 462 days to accumulate Disney Reward Dollars on our Visa. We should easily have $1000 to spend on the ship by the time Feb., 2015 rolls around. I hope I will not be too old by then.

we moved out dummy date and booked 1/19/2015 out of Port Canaveral-
2a/2c 7A $2346.24 which was OBB from august 2012
we had originally had the same date/trip for 2013 (same category) and the increase in the deposit was only $5.04....

Moved our dummy reservation to:
Magic, Feb. 8th
2 Adults
$2,963 w/OBB, no ins or transfers

What category? TIA.

So you will be on a cruise in February 2014 and want to book a cruise for April 2015? That's only 14 months, possibly 15 depending on the actual date you cruise.

Moved the dummy. Back to the ship that started us cruising.

Wonder - March 15th, 2015 - 2a 2k - cat 5b - $3104 w/obb

Was tough. We wanted the Magic, but couldn't justify the price. We drink the kool-aid. We love the kool-aid. Comparing prices with what else we could do we could get far better cabins on brand new ships for less money. Only problem is we need a dose of DCL kool-aid since it will have been two years since our last Disney cruise.

If the pricing is less insane on the Fantasy in the summer we will consider moving it (really like 7 nights) and doing something else. Either way we either have to use the dummy or cancel it given the new obb policy.

Everything has been posted to this point. Requesting that the thread be closed since opening week is over.

Changed our booking to:

1/3/15 Fantasy

8C 2A2K (14, 17) $4614.56 with OBB no ins/transfers
