WOW!! That is crazy high!! It happens that Easter does fall that week. In ATL we always have that week off, Easter or no Easter, that is our set Spring Break. I'm glad I started home schooling. I can't afford to take so many cruises at those prices:eek:

I wonder if they are listening to the market at all... I've seen 7 Days for DCL (I can't remember if it was fall 2014 for Fantasy or Magic) even posted on Orbitz for $900s pp and *GTS about the same. If it really is a 20-30% mark up, that's quite generous. There is no way I'm shopping that without even know what's going to happen in 2015. Its like everyone said that opening rates are the best, but at this point, I think last minute or wait and see is better. If a lot of us feel that way, I dont think the prices can stay that way. Sheesh. I love to be able to recommend DCL to all my friends and I love my rewards knocking back at the rates, but it will be hard to get any one 'on board' (in all its meanings) at these rates. They will start to look at me like a too spoiled goody goody or something! I got our 4 day for $522 pp with my 10% discount, and I'm steadily knocking off dollars towards either land or sea with rewards. I can't see even 4 days under $1000 for a couple. That is going to be difficult given that other cruise lines are so much more competitive.

Come on Disney. You went up $6 for your ticket increase. Isn't that like 6-7%? Not 20-30%...

Sorry. End of rant. I would like to cruise DCL in the future, but it may take years of rewards building at this rate...:sad2:

You might want to check out the Cruisefish website this January to see how much and if the 3 day cruises get discounted. For example, the 12/5/13 3 day is now $430pp for a veranda (VGT). If Jan 2014 is any indication, you might want to reconsider canceling and rebooking, or really see if you can upgrade cheaply at port. Obviously there are no guarantees, but they will be trying to fill 4 ships departing from Florida in Jan 2015 - typically a low volume time of year.

I would urge caution there too though... I *am* waiting for January *GT rates to come out, and am STILL waiting. They released Military and Florida resident rates on Monday - still nothing for the rest of us. I'm starting to lose my nerve because these common GP January discounts still aren't out. 71 days and counting... we are past the PIF date.

I am waiting to see about Jan cruises as well. Still hoping it will be tomorrow or Friday.

Has anyone booked a 7 night western off the magic for 2 adults 1 child on 1/18 family deluxe ocean view with verandah. I am trying to get an idea before tomorrow because I am in charger for a group of people. If someone can work me up a quick estimate please help!

Thanks

KK

Is anyone able to check both Disney magic march 15, 2015 7 night western and fantasy march 14 eastern 7night 2 adults 3 children under 10?
Both in veranda rooms?
Just trying to get an idea if worth visiting the desk tomorrow to book onboard. If it's right out of our price range I don't want to waste our precious cruise time!

Wow this gives me an idea but with adding another child . Just wow.:sad2:

Better than I thought...
1/3/15 Eastern on the Fantasy:

7A 2A $2905 with OBB

Now to convince DH to keep it!

We were going to move a dummy booking to the March 9 Magic but WOW!!!! After reading through here about the other March/April weeks, it looks like it would be about $8K-$8500 for a cat 5 for our family of 4 where just this March during the same week it was $4300 (w/OBB) for a 5B. Almost double in 2 years and this year's cruise wasn't booked on opening day, about 3 months after. Both of the kids will have bdays that week, including our DDs sweet 16 but I can't justify spending that much for another Caribbean cruise. Plus, DH and I have 3 cruises planned next year and the kids 2. We will definitely be taking the kids somewhere that week but if I'm going to spend $10K with air, then it's going to be something we haven't done ;)

Called at 8 am EST
Disney Fantasy - Feb 7, 2015
7-night Eastern: (St. Thomas)
2 adults, 5E
$1589.00/person; taxes and fees:$86.00/person = $3350.00

Hmmmm

Magic - 1A, 1c
Cat. 10a
March 29 - $3,508.68
April 5 - $3,517.42

Seems high to me since 4 of us are doing the same week 2014 for several hundred less in the same cabin.

Disney Magic Apr 5, 2015
7-night Western with Jamaica
2 adults, 1 child (11), 9A

Totally agreed that prices seem too high. We will be on the 7-night Fantasy over the same Easter break in 2014 with a verandah for $5,021.76.

Seriously?!?!
I may end up booking tomorrow, but I rather doubt I'll be allowed to keep it -- by my family, and my budget conscience!

Only $300 difference to have a verandah?! Maybe the prices aren't just high but the insides were priced insanely making it worse...!

Be careful about the wait and see approach. High demand periods like holidays and summer will probably just keep going up. Everything else, expect low last minute specials and the need to be flexible.
