So far I have baked two cakes 9x13 strawberry and 2 9 inch rounds devil's food cake. We went to MickyD's with their two best friends. Now we are making Valetimes for Daddy- who stayed up late to decorate the house with post it notes

Yet it is Tuesday which means I need to write quizzes (yes procrastination is my middle name). Also I have yet to wrap the birthday gifts... and may have to use blue paper with white snowflakes which would be okay since we got 3 inches of snow last night.

Utah- So glad you are safe. I think the moral of the story is that no one needs anything from PBK. Kidding! I love that place. Never actually spent any money there because I see that it is a whole slippery slope designed to part me from my husbands hard earned money. However! I can help with the Science Fair! I am a former Science Fair Judge! Do you have to pick off a list? I like experiments vs demonstrations (we have all seen the volcano thank you very much).

MommyP- for the homeschooling. Been there. Done that. Needed counseling after. I love the idea of homeschooling. Still do. Oldest manchild is begging to be re-homeschooled. I said "Do you not remember that we BOTH cried every day??" Move to Kansas. We have very nice, clean, new public schools, great teachers and I know a great 4 bdrm priced for a quick sale. Ha ha.

WTH???? why am I not queen of the science fair world? the whole point of the thing is to engage a love of science in the small fry... not to teach the parents how to cheat!!!! (not that you are cheating... it was just always obvious when the parents did the whole project!)

Ok. I will think on that. Something easy that looks realllly cool.

I really just don't want to put it on the market and deal with keeping it pristine for showings. That was hard enough 3 years ago!

We went to Olive Garden for lunch today, and the crew from the other hotel in our region was over half an hour late, plus we had horrible service, it took forever. So, the lunch including drive time was 2 1/2 hours!!!!!

Good grief! Bunny just knocked a crayon down the heat vent and went ballistic. She's worried it will start a fire. To get her to STOP worrying, I had to confess to her that her Auntie and I used to use the heat vent as a goal and played crayon hockey way back about a million years ago. Oh wait, I forgot crayons weren't invented yet back then...

We had a snow day today. I feel like I've been making treats for Bunny's first grade's Valentine party ALL day today. I'm pooped! (or "poofed" as Bun would say) Phew-hooty!

Whilst I worked, I had Bunny sitting at the table with me working on her Valentines for her class. She had a couple left over and told me she wants to give one to her BOYFRIEND!! I told her she was too young to have a boyfriend, and she said, "Moo-oooooom!" I am so looking forward to those teen years!

Also been decorating gift bags for a church retreat in between batches of Val treats. I've been Becky Home Ec-ky today! So much domestic energy here, you'd think Martha lived here. Sheesh, I even vacuumed! Have I done any WORK work? No, I have not.

While Bunny was outside playing, a photographer from the local newspaper stopped by and came to the door to ask if he could take her picture. Bun was all over the idea, so I gave him the okie dokie, and she posed atop a huge mound of plowed snow. She went wild when she discovered her picture might be in our small town paper.

Hey Toot Sweet, I personally adore the Junie B books, and think they are funny as all get out. I always point out the grammatical errors to my dd when I'm reading them aloud to her though, since my life's work is FIXING language errors. Yeah, she just loves it when I do that. (that was f rom Bunny, who keeps adding smilies to my post and laugh ing maniacally (sp?)
