Open Mike Night - Everyone is Welcome Part 3

Bring on the new picture, Celery!!!

Sorry about the baby blues. I'm satisfying myself with a grandpuppy :lmao:

Pumba, did your brother get a flight yet?

No Pumba, you are not responsible for WT being scarce here and if he doesn't return that is not necessarily a bad thing:grouphug:

JOE!!!!!!!!!! :grouphug: Always lovely to see you!
Did that sentence qualify as pithy or was it too long for that?

Alright. Time for before and after.
You've all seen this one before. This is me and Tammy (I'm the blonde, remember? Ha!) from September 2006

I gained some over the holidays. This is the last picture before the surgery.
January 27 (Tammy's birthday at the Melting pot)

This is the first picture after the surgery. Surgery was on 2/12. This picture was taken 3/2/07

And this is today's picture.

Wow!!!! I can see it in your face and waist!

Now, about your baby woes...

I have no words of wizzum to give to you. I tried to snap you out of it!

Have you sought, you know, other methods? NONE of my beezwax but you can probably have a baby of your own or adopt a little one??? Foster parenting was a huge blessing for our family. Most of them come up for adoption soon after you take them in. I almost took this one baby girl named Lulu (not her real name, but it fit her) but then I was magically pregnant with the Norahnator. Lulu went to a GREAT family, by the way.

You'd make a great mama!

Just back from Dairy Queen. I told DH that hopefully when we go again we will not have to wear our winter coats! I have had it with this weather!

Anyone else watching the Sopranos?

you have DONE AWESOME>..........nice photos of you and Tammy....

THOSE are my one and only tags......have had them for over a year

Celery - You look GREAT :thumbsup2 How are you feeling since the surgery? My DSIL is planning on having the surgery and is very nervous about it.

Celery, great pics, you look wonderful. And beautiful baby!

utah - Tammy and I discussed our options today. We definitely want to wait a year until we get some bills paid off.
then after that, I don't know.
I don't want to have one biologically cuz I'm scared of my genes, but Tammy's family really does not need to procreate.
They've already done too much.
I'll tell you all about Tammy's family someday.
Let's just say there's murder and abuse involved. Multiple counts of abuse from different sources. I believe overcoming the issues of her family made Tammy into the incredible person she is, but I don't want to trust the luck of the draw again.
So it'll probably be fostering or adoption, most likely. Which will be hard given our "social" situation.
Although we should be able to foster older children in bad environments, which would be great for us and the children, but I want one I can KEEP!

Anyway.
We'll figure it out. I just needed to whine. :)

Thanks Utah and Pumba. I'm pretty happy about my progress.

Betsy - it hurt like HELL! but it was worth it. Just make sure she's prepared for the pain. The worst of it is gone by the time you leave the hospital. That's the only thing that surprised me. Make sure she goes to the seminars and reads as much as she can so she's prepared.
A lot of people have complications - I've even talked to several who almost died, but every single person I've talked to said they would do it again in a heartbeat. Tell your SIL I wish her luck!

Awww! Jeanne is making her doll do patty cake! How cute is that?

Your are getting so skinny Celery.

I really see it in your face and everywhere too.

The baby almost looks like Tammy.

Thanks for sharing the pics, Celery - I can definitely see your progress too! Is that you standing by the bed in the jeans and red shirt?

Sounds like you and Tammy would be great at fostering, especially after all your practice with the Godchildren.

Well, off to bed. Actually to watch Cold Case in bed but at least I'm half way there! Have a great evening. Chat with you all tomorrow. Nice to meet those of you that I met for the first time tonight!

Yeah Moo - that's me.
Those are jeans I haven't been able to wear in years! :cool1:

Hi Dre and Betsy

Only thing new is that WT has his own thread now. The newbies actually came from that thread:lmao:

:confused3 Where is it? What is it?

Drebert! Hi! How are you!

Newbies: Good to meet you, Welcome!!!! Have you sang your karaoke song yet? Just pick a song that touches you deeply (or not, Mine was Muscrat Love) and sing away (just write the lyrics, would be goog)

So far, only Dre hasn't broken the windows (she has real life talent, the rest of us are just posers).

Hi Uma!

You are so sweet to say that. :cloud9:
I have another audition on Saturday. Keep your fingers and toes and other body parts crossed.

Thanks Marita I don't know how to do that.

Link to the thread that is.

Hidy Ho all!!! I see that Celery has already told you about my wonderful godchildren. And the newest one! Thanks Nab! Wish I could take some credit for him...but I had absolutely nothing to do with his genetics.

Celery keeps misspelling Jeanie. It's J-E-A-N-I-E. Anyway, that kid LOVES Celery to pieces. And so does Anthony. I asked Jeanie for some loving before they went to bed and I asked Anthony (8) if he was too old for kisses and he said no...but he gave Amber a kiss first. Then back to me. They're her godchildren because of me...I love it though!

I agree with Celery about my genetics. ALTHOUGH, sometimes I want to believe that it's in the parenting styles more than the genes. But then again, I really like the idea of adopting or fostering. We'll see how Celery feels in a year though.

Well...I think we're off to bed. Celery has to be at the airport by 7:30 and then I got to take Anthony to school and drop Jeanie off to her grandparents before I go to work.

Later all!
