Only One Checked Bag On Delta?

I booked a Delta flight to Orlando yesterday that I have taken several times.The other times I was allowed to check two bags.There was a note this time stating that only one bag could be checked.Is this a new policy company-wide or only for certain flights?Thanks.

We flew home yesterday on delta from MCO to ATL and then to PIT and we were able to check 2 bags each. We did the smart thing and weighed them on the scale before we got in the line to get our boarding passes which was a good idea cuz all around us were WDW guests unloading suitcases and having to buy ones for their overweight luggage. Did you check-in at your hotel? We couldnt b/c of ticket problems? I have no idea that seems very strange to me.

I noticed this for our flight in Oct.Last year we got two as well. I guess I will pack mine and my daughters clothes together and use her bag for snacks and drinks.

This is what I found on Delta's website:

You can check two bags per passenger free of charge.

Each bag must:

Weigh 50 pounds (22.5 kg) or less.
Not exceed 62 inches when you total length plus width plus height.
If you have a bag that exceeds these allowances, see Excess Baggage.

Exceptions:

Passengers traveling to or from Key West and Marathon, Florida are limited to only one checked bag.
The free weight allowance is 70 pounds (32 kg) for tickets purchased in Brazil.
With the exception of original factory-sealed boxes that will be accepted on a standby basis, we do not accept boxes as checked baggage to Central or South America (except Brazil, Mexico, and Chile) at any time of the year.
