Online booking!!!!!!!!!!!!

Or, is everybody at 0601 regardless of where you live?

To clarify that, if booking begins at 6:01am Eastern Time, then it begins at the same moment where you live which is 5:01am Central Time. No need to change your computer clock, lol.

Thank you. For the life of me, I could not figure out what time I would book.

Oh sure it's a good idea. Disney will have to settle thier business affairs online since they've laid off nearly all the cast members who do it for you at the resorts!:lmao:

Did you try removing the cast discount drop down?? I noticed it was automatically in there at a high % off.....try putting it to the normal 20% or take it out completely and see if you get anything back!!! When are you arriving???

I can't figure out how to remove it at all. We aren't eligible for the higher % since DH isn't a Florida CM but still don't know how to remove the discount. Our trip is in a few weeks which of course explains why there isn't much however I also noticed the system is really picky. It gives you alternatives for others around the time you picked but if you modify your request even by 30 minutes you actually might get the restaurant you want. Its really strange and actually quite annoying. After playing with it the other night, I did get the reservations I wanted with the exception of one but have noticed that more spots are opening as you get closer to the travel dates.

Crazy isn't it!!?? Welcome to the world of the new dine system!!!!!

This past Tuesday I was a real victim of the system. I was in MK and went to Guest Relations for two requests, one was for The Wave at 10:00 in the morning a couple of weeks away and the other was for The Plaza for lunch that day as soon as possible.

First done was for The Wave and I was told only 9:30 and 9:45 were available. I asked for the 9:45 as that was closest to what I really wanted. Then for The Plaza, which was for 2:15, which was about an hour away.

The CM went to the printer for my confirmations and found that for The Wave my confirmation was at 9:30, not 9:45. And for the same day 2:15 insterad of The Plaza the system had booked me into LTT.

She could not change my reservation for The Wave, so I told her to cancel it completely. She did that and then looked to see what was available and lo and behold there was a 9:55, which was grabbed for me (and I have the paper to prove it).

And she was unable to do anything about the LTT instead of The Plaza, so she called over there to the podium and I was able to get seated.

At least this way I did not have to wait on hold forever.

So how come there are more restaurants available for CMs in Florida rather than all of the CMs? If you change the affiliation box then it determines if you can get a reservation or not. Excuse me while I curse at how this system works.

Where on the Hub can I find this? I looked all over but couldn't find anything about it. But then again the best place to hide something from me is put it right in front of my face.

it is under disney difference, WDW section. Up on the right, you see highlights cycle thru, I think the dining is the first one.

While interesting, cast dining will be more limited under this I think.

Any updates for whenthe general public can book online? Is the tab on the website now, but I just can't use it yet?
Thanks,

Yup its under Disney Difference- WDW. You should be able to click on Cast Dining Discounts and the reservation link will pop up. You'll be able to search by location, resort, park, etc. There are 2 discounts, one for those that work in Florida and all other non-Florida CMs (Disney company affiliates, ABC, Studios, Disneyland CMs, etc). It looks like priority will be limited to CMs or those with discounts in general but I found that non Florida CMs have even less restaurants options than the Florida CMs.

It probably won't be up until a few months. I assume they are testing it with travel agents and CMs until it get released to the general public to work out bugs and stuff because I've already noticed some of that. Its also not up on the Disney Vacation planning website. I assume it won't be up until its released.

They are hoping to roll it out this week!!!

If you only knew!!!!!!!!!!! And someday I hope to share!!! :)

I have called for different reasons and talked to 3 different cast members on dining and they haven't heard an exact date but they all say "real" soon!

"Disney resort guests can call 90 days in advance of their day of arrival and make up to 10 days of Advance Dining Reservations at (407) WDW-DINE (939-3463)."

Anyone know if the online reservation systems will allow you to do this same perk (i.e. making reservations up to 100 days out of the final say of your vacation if you are staying 10 days).

How will the site verify you are a resort guest?

Thanks.

I was checking out restaurants & one had book reservations & the online ADR site pulled up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11
