Nothing new going on here in Wisconsin except for the huge protests going on in Madison. I didn't have to work on Friday because they called off school. Over 600 teachers called in sick. I hope I will be back to work on Tuesday. Monday is Presidents day so we have off. I am using my check to pay down our trip. We had some really nice days but winter is making a come back here tomorrow with snow and sleet.

It's countdown time.

We have only

more FRIDAY'S until we go on our cruise

Hi folks

Just thoguht I'd check in and say hello:goodvibes

Been busy at home lately... new carpets throughout the whole house, so total disruption in every room:rolleyes:... all done now though and it looks fab:thumbsup2 and new door handles internally on every door in the house.

Now we start buying and building cupboards in the spare room to hide all our junk in:rotfl:

I have begun planning though... car hire now totally sorted for both legs on the trip and itinary kinda sorted - just needs a little tweeking once we find out dates for MNSSHP.

Still cant decide whether to have 2 nights by the port or two nights in Orlando though. I've been trying to find a cheap hotel by the port, but thte ones in Orlando are much cheaper, so might stay in Orlando and use the savings for an extra day in Magic Kingdom:yay:

Hows everyone else doing with their planning?

Planning is going good. I am using last years dates as a guide for the MNSSHP. I think it's going to be on a Thursday before we leave on the cruise. We are coming in that Wednesday Oct 12th. Tickets should be going on sale in May:banana: We get to do our dining in April hopefully free dining for the fall will be coming out soon for the fall. I think they do that over summer though. (It's been 2 years and I can't remember) I also want to do the haunted carriage ride I think at Wilderness

For the free dining I think we need two park days in addition to the MNSSHP so we are planning to go to HS and AK. We haven't been to either one in a few years. I think since we brough my Mom with us. That was an adventure!
We like to try new places everytime we go to WDW. So far here's where we are going. I will probably have to nix a few. I am also taking my youngest to the BBB but have to decide what day and if downtown or while at MK.

Cape May
Sci-Fi
Wolf Gang Pucks Express
Brown Derby or Mama Melrose for Fantasmic package
Starring Rolls for Breakfast
Ohannas for Character Breakfast (one of our favorite ones)
Kona for Dinner
Sunshine Seasons for Dinner
Flame Tree (a must at AK)
Tusker House Breakfast
we have to fit a turkey leg in too at HS

Just trying to survive the winter here.
my 3y.o. ds has strep and had a 104.2 fever Friday night, even now it's 102 on Motirn. Thankfully he should start feeling better by tonight after he gets his 3rd and 4th doses of amoxil.

Hello super organized!!

Our plan is to fly in friday before the cruise, hang at the hotel that night. Do Animal Kingdom Saturday, hop to MK that night and do the Halloween party.

Cruise
Sun
Mon- We have decided at Nassau to do the Sharaton hotel day pass and use their beach and pools
Tues-
Wed

Thurs- Disney
Fri- Universay
Sat Disney
Sunday Home

I think this is what we have planned right now....

My planning is going well, I have Sat night booked at AKL and we just plan on hanging at the resort and enjoying it. We're joining our best friends and gonna eat at Boma for dinner, take my youngest to see the animals with the night vision goggles, and swim in the pool. When we come back we're planning on heading to MNSSHP on Thurs and Epcot for Food & Wine on Fri. Now I just need to pay for it all. LOL

We dont know which plan will work better yet...either fly down 14th and go to harry potter on saturday..or fly down 15th and go to dd that night for some shopping and stay in orlando one night. Depending on airfare prices for friday vs. saturday. Trying to keep this trip budget friendly, as we have done 3 theme park trips in the last year and a half. We have never planned such a short trip, its really hard to keep it in check! But I have car rentals being held, good rates under 50 for each way which is cheaper than disney transportation, and we dont mind the drive.

Big melt this last week here , and today its snowing up to 6", but thats MN. Happy Planning everyone...I love Sundays, computer time!

Planning is underway here, as well. Here's the schedule so far:

12th -- One night at WDW/dinner at Chef Mickey's
13th - 15th -- US/IOA
16th - 20 -- Cruise!
21st - 24th -- WDW

We plan on doing Typhoon Lagoon and MNSSHP somewhere in the stay but waiting on party dates first. We're also waiting on AP rates for the US/IOA resorts, and for Air Tran to release their October schedules. Lots of waiting going on!:surfweb:

We do know that we want to eat at Boma, 'Ohana, Biergarten, and Rose & Crown. We also think we are going to do the dining plan since my son has finally hit the point where he is hungry. All. The. Time. popcorn::

The rest of the transportation, aside from the plane, has been worked out.

So where is everyone staying while at WDW? We're at the BWV.

Kristen

Thanks for the well wishes. Ds's fever seems to be staying under 101 now and he is beginning to eat! This winter has been brutal for us sickness and weather wise.

As far as our plans go, we are driving down on the 8th and arriving on the 9th. Staying in a pool house at Indian Creek with my in-laws. We stayed there this past Nov. and LOVED it! only 10 minutes drive to the parks and our own pool and game room.
We were planning to do US/IOA this trip but have bumped that out to hopefully a Nov. 2012 trip with my SIL and her family.(We have never been to US/IOS and neither have they)
We are planning to do 3-4 days at WDW and doing a YES program to be able to afford the tix(keeping fingers crossed). Not sure what day we'll do what park though, depends on what TGM recommends! we really wanted to do MNSSHP but there is no way at this point we can afford YES tix. and MNSSHP tix!
Also planning to go to the beach one day, probably Cocoa or Sebastian's Inlet so the kids can boogey board, as we did Clearwater this past trip and also plan to got to Blue Spring state park just for something different.

We are also hoping to do a little driving around if there is time to check out some of the local communities as we are hoping to possibly move to FL in the summer of 2013! If we don;t get a chance to do that this trip then we'll plan it for next year!

Our plans are pull the kids out of school at lunch time (we hope ) on Fri the 14th and drive down. Hope to get there between 8-9pm.

Sat Oct 15 11am GET MARRIED

Sun 16-20 Cruisin w/ Mickey

Thursday and Fri Kennedy Space Center

Sat or Sun Come home...Haven't decided yet.

I think I saw that someone else on this cruise has an Autistic or Aspie child. Am I right?

We are planning on bumping Robert down to the Oceanear's Lab with Dani, who will be 8, so he will be with someone he knows and not have free roam of the ship. We will revoke check-in/out privileges for these two. Robert can be a roamer and we could see him trying to drive the ship if we left him in Edge and he just decided it was time to leave.

... take my youngest to see the animals with the night vision goggles, ...

that sounds like loads of fun:yay:
