On the 2013-2014 Armed Forces Salute Watch!!!

Disney has promised for the military Christmas party at least that even if party sells out they will sell to military at gate. Go check it out, that way you can wait and get military pricing!

Yes, but I already bought my MNSSHP tickets. A couple of months ago, as I never expected them to put the military tickets on sale so soon. They changed things up on me a bit. :crazy2:

Last year there were people who bought theirs ahead of time. Once they arrived they went to Guest services and got a refund of the difference from the full price and mil tickets. Disney stated officially that this would not be allowed, but I never heard from anyone who was refused and I did hear of a couple successes.

Hmmm......I guess it's worth a shot! We'll see what happens. :goodvibes

Here's to hoping that a week from today we will be hearing some good news regarding the 2013/2014 discounts!!! pixiedust:

My father in law is retired military & our trip is planned for the end of October. We are staying at WL, but my in-laws are going back & forth between WL & SOG. If they apply the military discount to their room and our room at WL, but then cancel their room if they decide to stay at SOG-I assume our room at WL would lose the discount when they cancel their WL room? Is that correct?

Correct. As he must be staying in the resort and present his retiree id at check in for the rate at WL.

My son went with us this past May under the military discount ( my husband is retired) We stayed at the BWI while he stayed at the WL. We were told as long as my husband was there to check him in it would be fine. And it was okay. I checked in at the BWI using my military ID while my DH drove over to the WL to check DS in. So as long as your FIL staying the same time period he can check you in. MHO

In the last eight stays with a military discount not once have I been asked to show an id. SOG is a different matter all together. Always need an id there .

I've experienced that myself and heard from others the same thing.

Just made my reservations for March. The reservation guy booked me at full price, and told me to call back when the discount is put out to get the lower price. He seemed to know the discount details, just couldn't put anything out. He said the park tickets will probably be higher, but seemed confident in the 40% discount (booked the Contemporary). I paid the $200 deposit. Maybe this helps.....

My guess is the same percentages on the rooms and a $20 increase on the tickets.

I'm concerned about the tickets and the fast pass plus. No one seems to have an answer

What are your vacation dates? Fastpass+ isn't running yet, still in very limited testing. What is the concern?

I've queried WDW on the integration with the AFS, but they have no answers yet. I think because the system just isn't working...

January 31st thru February 8th.

We are getting 9 day tickets and had planned to get them from our ITT but I'm not sure what to do now.

I have finally talked my mom into going to WDW with us for the first time. My step father is retired Army but he will not be going along. If we book under my mom's name can we use the discount?

May 2014 Trip:

My girlfreind and I are Annual Pass Holders so we usually get the AP room discount; however, next May we are planning a trip with her Grandmother, Niece (5yrs), Cousin (19yrs), and Brother (18yrs) who do not have tickets. Her Grandfather is retired military so from everything I have read her Grandmother should qualify for the military discount.

I have a few questions:

1. Is the AP room only discount usually the same or worse than the military discount? We can also get the FL Resident room discount since I am from Miami.

2. If military disocunt is better do we have to book the room in her name or can we book it in my name and since she will be in the room still apply the discount?

3. We are planning to stay at the All Star Music Family Suite what are the traditional discounts for this type of room?

4. On the tickets, I know she can buy her own but can she buy the three extra ones (all three are her grandchildren)?

5. Where are tickets purchased? Can tickets be ordered online or by phone and picked up at Will Call or does she have to buy them when we arrive?

Sorry for the many questions, but usually we get the AP or FL Resident discounts so I know how those work but I am at a loss here.

Thank you in advance for your help.

As long as she has a valid dependent ID.
