I've had 2 people contact me today to tell me the Disney call center told them that the new salute will be announced the the 10th.

But I contacted my WDW Media contact and just heard back that this is bad info the call center is passing out.

I'm scheduled to talk with him the week of the 22nd.

I've had 2 people contact me today to tell me the Disney call center told them that the new salute will be announced the the 10th.

But I contacted my WDW Media contact and just heard back that this is bad info the call center is passing out.

I'm scheduled to talk with him the week of the 22nd.

Ha! Well, thanks for the spoiler warning! It would be nice if it were announced the same day as the 2014 rates come out though. I hope something is announced soon. Still trying to patiently wait it out....

Thanks Steve ! Every time I have called to make a payment for my September 2013 trip I keep asking & they always tell me they don't know. Which is better than July 10th. I was hoping it would be soon not like last year but it seem it might be late July or early August.

Keeping my eyes peeled for any news! This will be the first year we are able to take advantage of the promo (BIL enlisted last August) and they are closer to Disney than I am so their airfare will be cheaper (lucky ducks!).

Well...now that the 2014 rates are out, I have been able to price out my options for August 2014!!!!

Hoping that the military rates are renewed (and that we hear soon), so that I can make a final decision!!!

I just booked a room only for March 2014 to secure the dates and room we wanted in hopes of the discount being renewed. The cast member I spoke with said some military rates were released today with the 2014 rates. She tried to apply it to my reservation and said she got a "coming soon" message. Sounds hopeful!!!!

I just called and they said the discount for the rooms has not been extended yet. However for Military Members you can get 10% off year round so they gave me that while we wait for the extension.
