OMG- Zhu Zhu Pets are they the new Cabbage Patch Kids????

I scored at an out of the way discount store in town today, got the spiral slide and ramp add on set. Wasn't even lookin for anything zhu zhu related.

Now I'm trying to figure out if I should cancel my order for the big set. I have all the parts now and I don't need two sets. It seems like they are getting easier to find, but I'm not sure. I also know that they charged me over $11 shipping for my little Lego set that I bought as filler. There isn't any shipping charge showing on the Zhu Zhu invoice. So, in order to get that $11 shipping back, I"d have to return the Lego, right? Or won't they give me that back? I don't want to get totally ripped off for trying to order this Zhu Zhu set! Grrrr...

Even if you return the Lego set, they won't refund your shipping, unfortunately you will have to eat that!

Yeah they won't refund your shipping for any reason, sucks!

If you cancel, call CS and complain. They should refund part of the shipping.

The set that you have on order also includes the hamster Patches. You can only get him with a set.

I think I'm giving up on these boogers - one of dh's bosses has been begging for them - too bad I can't charger double! LOL
My kids have not asked for them - don't think they've ever seen them since they typically don't watch Nick.

And I'm tired of the fact that stuff can't be found I refuse to hunt the world for the accesories, besides it'll save me room in the long run!

We have Zhu Zhu pets!!!!! Well, one anyway. My father's best friend has been looking for one for his granddaughter (bad situation-his daughter is in a halfway house in another state, child misses her mother so bad, so I've been on the hunt for them!). I called my father last night and told him about the TRU email, but told them it would probably be a madhouse. He just called-they just breezed into the store at 8am, asked for them, and had to go to one register to get a ticket another to pick up the pets, then another to pay! And they were the only ones in the store! They only got one each (one for the other girl, and one for dd10), but that is ok! I have seen the accessories around, but no hamsters. I can give that to her, then we can probably pick up the accessories after Christmas. I'm just so glad thefriend's granddaughter is getting her wish!

This store (central MS) got in 68, and still had 60 left!

Just an FYI.... I gave up on trying to track down the ball.... BUT out of curiosity, I picked up a regular plastic hamster ball and it worked! $5.97 @ Wal-Mart and they came in pink and blue.... Granted, the hamster will tip over in there and you have to turn him right-side up again, but from what I understand, that's the same complaint with the regular Zhu-Zhu ball....

Good to know. We have a ball from our hamster who died in Sept. and I was wondering if a real ball would work (couldn't see why not) Now if I can only find a hamster, we'll be set.

Went to TRU this morning to try to snag some accessories and they had about 50 of these sets that they were selling in the store (york, PA). I grabbed one and cancelled my order as soon as I returned home.

Now only thing I need is the Uturn with skateboard. Posted an ad on Craiglist hoping someone will trade for the pipsqueak hamster that I picked up this morning.

Checked 3 CVS stores today, two stores had nothing not even a place on the shelf for zhu zhus but one of the stores had the car/garage, spiral slide, wheel/tunnel, and tons of pet carriers/blanket combo packs in several different colors (but no pets). Of course I am still looking for the ball the one accessory that I cannot find anywhere, so I may end up telling my sister to try a regular hamster ball if we cannot find the zhu zhu ball.

Ok so I'm slow I guess because I've only seen these a few times--once on QVC or some shopping channel and once in a store BEFORE the holidays..What age groups are these geared towards? I have 2 children, DD7 and DS14months..These look like something I might be interested in getting them for EASTER..but I wonder if my daughter is too old, she does have a learning disability and ADHD, so we have a hard time finding things to keep her occupied..I have NEVER seen the commercials for these so any help from those of you with experience would be appreciated! thank you!

I found a couple items at CVS, they were on a temporary shelf near the entrance mixed in with some radios other electric stuff, I walked right by them. When I asked she showed where they were..I walked right by the shelf 2x!
