It won't be the end of the world if we don't get one, but my 4 year old did ask for this as his Christmas gift.

My plan is to hit up Mills Fleet Farm (http://www.fleetfarm.com/mff/) when they open toyland (probably October 17, but haven't seen the official date yet) They always have whatever the hottest toy is that season, you just need to be there when they open the doors that first morning.

I'm from WI too. Where are you from? I am anxiously awaiting FF too, but fortunately have completed my hamster hunt already. Shopko carries them too if you have one near you. I don't think anyone realizes that since they had soooo many on the shelves when I was there Friday. They are much more expensive though too.

Finally found the car/garage on Sunday -- still looking for the spiral slide and I'll be done w/ my hamster hunt! (well, unless they start releasing the pink Zhu Zhus )

I was able to get some on Saturday. I had already been to 3 stores looking with no luck. I wasn't going to even go in the second Toys R Us, but I had time so I figured, why not?

Jackpot! They had all of the hamsters, the house, the garage, and the slide. I got all except the slide. They were limiting us to 4 hamsters and no limits on accesories. I guess they figure the faster they get rid of them the better LOL

I got 1 Hamster & the funhouse today. My TRU only got 1 box of 8 hamsters so they limited us to 1 per person. Usually they allow 2.

I heard that the TRU I hit today will have a shipment for Thursday & Saturday, and another one nearby will get them on Wed. I am not buying too much of this stuff, so I hope to be done by next weekend.

I wonder if we were on line together???? I was person #7 at the Eatontown TRU Saturday morning and was able to get one as well.

Okay, I concede. I've pre-ordered the 3-pack from ToysRUs.com My DD hasn't actually seen or asked for these pets yet but she has asked for real pet hamster so maybe this will make an acceptable substitute. And if she really doesn't want them, I can always sell them on ebay or give them as gifts to other kids.

Now to look for accessories...

I did the same thing last night! Here is hoping it actually ships in time and I am able to find accessories.
The 20% code I found on another thread stacked with the 10 off 100 made it reasonable.
