TRU has the new hamsters (including Jilly the pink one) loaded to their site, but they are listed as out of stock. Maybe they will start showing up in stores soon! I hope so, we are looking for the black and white one.

Just got back from a Walmart run and they had tons of Fun Houses, Adventure Balls, Surf Board/Sleepdome, Garage/Car, Wheel/Tunnel and carriers/beds! I think I have everything now!! Just need the pink hamster!! Woo-hoo!! On another note...when I think about how much $$$ I spent on these things....

...well 3 to be exact. I keep reading about how popular these are, so I decided to check out pricing. 3 packs are around $99 right? Not on Toysrus.com. I just preordered a 3 pack for $35! The ship date is 12/11/09, so if there is any delay, it might not make it by christmas. No big deal for me, my DD turns 6 three weeks later.

Now all I have to do is hunt down some acessories

the hunt for the skatebard/u turn is driving me crazy! Anyway, is anyone else having a hard time refraining from opening these things up and playing with them. They are so darn cute! Christmas seems so far away.

My ds is wanting these, so I made my first attempt at this today at our local WM. They had all the hamsters in the back they said, and asked if I wanted one of each,???I was confused because I dont know much about them, and asked for a brown one and a white one, and she went and got them for me.

So there are pink ones??? What else? What do you think they might have in the back? No accessories at all, so I was disappointed in that, I want the skateboard and a car. They said they haven't gotten any accessories at all in from headquarters

right now they have a white one, brown one, grey one, and yellow one. They have some newer ones coming out(don't know when though). In this set there is a pink one, black and white one, blondish/yellowish one, and a darker brown one. Good luck with accessories!

DD has mentioned these but more talking about her friend wanting one. Well, the friend' mother called me this morning to ask if DD could have one for her b-day. Sure, I guess, I don't even know what they are. Then she proceeds to tell me she was at TRU this morning to wait in line for the store to open and that the line was like Day after Thanksgiving lines. The store limited them to one per person, but she knew that as her DH went last week to get their DD one. and they were back again today to get their DD another one and mine one. Now great friends, I'll admit, but hey, to take off of work just to get your child a TOY?????

Guess that is why they call me the mean mom.

You know what makes me really sad about TRU? They just bought FAO in NYC. I fear that a great, unique institution will become just another run of the mill, monopolizing of the market TRU store!

Trucking schedules get changed all the time and inventory on that truck can get changed at last minute... .there is no hidden motive to try to get people into the door.

My mother is a manger at TRU. I have worked there.. all my siblings have worked there and a good friends of mine is a truck driver for TRU.

I know my local store got them in today.

I saw this but am nervous about it because it has an estimated SHIPPING date of 12/11. What if I pre-order, stop looking for them, and then they don't arrive in time????

I think I will just make myself crazy driving to the store instead.

My Walmart was to get 40 yesterday, they did not come in and are not coming in until tonight and they are only getting 12 and the rest are backordered. They told DH to be there when they open at 6 in the morning to get them.

I just pre ordered 3 of the 3 packs, and it is saying estimated shipping date of 12/11/09. It is a risk, but they don't charge your card till they ship, so I figured it was ok to chance it. My kids want them, and then I got one for my niece too. Hopefully it will work out!

Is anyone from the Eastgate/Kenwood, OH area looking for the car/garage or wheel for the zhu zhu pets? I am returning 1 of each to TRU if you want to be right behind me in line to purchase these. (My Dsis found the ball she wanted.) Just thought I'd offer to help out another Diser. She has no interest in selling them, just returning, and thought I'd ask here.

My dd wanted these things so bad for her 6th birthday. Dh and I just happened to find 2 hamsters and some accessories at Wal Mart. We bought them for her gift. We had NO idea at the time how hard they were to find. I could count on one hand how many times my dd has played with them. Annoyed!

I have quite a few accessories and 2 or 4 hamsters in my closet right now that dh tracked down so he could put them on ebay. I hope your kids play with them more then my dd has.
