After jostling around with breakfast options (ADR was at 11:15), I opted for the turkey club substituting fries for fruit. I was asked if I wanted the cranberry mayonnaise on the sandwich, on the side or not at all. I chose it on the side. The multi-grain bread sandwich was packed with what I could call thick cut roasted turkey slices with bacon/lettuce/tomato.
I tried the cranberry/mayo by itself and knew it was a winner. It had sliced pieces of cranberry with some of it pureed into the mayo. Needless to say, it made its way into the sandwich and really popped the flavor while taking away any potential dryness. The fruit was fresh and just the right portion size.
What I really enjoyed about this meal was the nautical theming and table spacing. They could easily increase capacity and squeeze more guests in, but they opted not to. There was a line of guests wanting to get seated, but I tend to think the small size of the dining room(s) and spacing lends itself to a much more manageable CM staff/resourcing. Kudos to OKW/Olivia's for not shoehorning us.
I was very pleased with my selection for lunch. I made the comment that I don't remember the last time I walked to a restaurant for lunch or dinner (not in the same building). That is just a small part of the wonderful charm for Olivia's for me.
