Hello. I am trying to talk my mom and stepdad into going with me and my 5 year old DS (hubby bowed out - sick of WDW and it might be more fun without him :sunny: ) this September or October. Thought it would be really fun to stay in a 1 bedroom at OKW (renting points), but haven't committed either way. My question: I would have to give my parents the main bedroom. Would I (with my son) be comfortable enough on the pull out sofa. I am 5'6" and weigh about 135 pounds, give or take five pounds :goodvibes .

Thanks for any info.

Oh, yes. MIL and FIL (combined weight of about 400 lbs.) were very comfortable on pull out. They are plush (more so than conventional pull outs).

You will be fine.

I think you will be fine. My sister (5'5" 145lb) and her son slept on the pull out at OKW for a week on our last trip. She had no complaints and was surprised at how comfortable the pull out sofa was. :flower:

Yup the sofa bed was good in our 1 bdrm too, DH was stuck there some nights (see below.) You could consider a twin aerobed if you want for your son - maybe in the master bedroom by the window. I am sure he would be the first to sleep at night and then you and your parents could relax in the living/room kitchen area. We always put my dd 3 to bed in the king and then DH ended up sleeping on the pull out most nights as we were afraid to transfer her. OKW may even have cots too - not sure. Just a suggestion as this would have been practical for us since the best part about the villas is the space out in the living/kitchen area.

You will LOVE the 1 bdrm villas at OKW - they are so nice and big and relaxing!!!

Thanks for the great tip. I had thought about bringing a sleeping bag or letting him fall asleep in the king bed and transferring him, but at 45 pounds, that starting to get a little rought

Just came back from a 6 night roadtrip, where I slept in the same bed with him every night. His snoring and teeth grinding about drove me over the edge; seriously. Guess a doctor and dentist visit is in order :p

None of the DVC resorts have cots.

But, there is plenty of space at OKW for a blowup mattress on the floor in the master bedroom.
And, adding another vote for the pullout sofas being comfortable.

oh yeah, get a aerobed and put him in the master. Let your parents deal with that while you sleep out in the living room :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Just kidding! My 3 yr old snores when she is on her back - right now I think it is adorable but I am curious if it will get worse down the line.

The pullout is fine - we've had 2 large teenage boys on it several times.

Just a heads up, though! October is the first month of the Food & Wine Fest at Epcot. The DVC rooms book up - first the BWV and BCV (I would say it is safe to assume they are full already) and followed by the other DVC resorts booking up as members try to get in anywhere. If you are trying to rent October, best get after it quick.
