Okay... So what is your Username About?

Back in the day, there was an unmoderated newsgroup called RADP (rec.arts.disney.parks) which was invaded by a poster who claimed to have invented some sort of magical *MAGICAL* adjustable hat and posted various grievances he had trying to sell it to Disney. The hat was called the Trimobius. Some posters invented the Trimobius Disney Cabinet (TDC) which you could join if you applied for membership to the Czar and/or Czarina and chose a Disney character as your Trimobius code name. I am a Lion King fan so I am TDC Nala. I am told I should have gone for Shenzi.

I've used Golden Rose for many years - not just on the Disboards. It originally came from the Yellow Rose of Texas - I was a Texan (living out of state and missing home at the time I first chose the name) and roses have always been my favorite flower. I've never cared for yellow roses, but gold is close to yellow and I like gold. (Ok, I like jewelry in general, but I've always been partial to gold...)

JCL are my husband's initial and we are from NJ. When we first joined the disboard we shared email address which started with JCLNJ and my husband used that when we signed up. I never changed it as we had already rented out points under that name. My name is Michelle.

So my very, very, very favorite Disney movie of all time is Escape to Witch Mountain. I have always wanted a starbox like Tia's with a hidden map inside. (I also always wanted a twin brother, Winnebago, the ability to telepathically communicate with animals, my own home ice cream parlor, and a black cat.....) It's probably as close to the very heart of who am I as anything has ever been.

I actually have a framed vintage movie poster in my living room, and my husband made me a "starbox" stamp that looks like the box from the movie.

This was my first board, as well and I was having a hard time so just thought about my favorite Disney thing- tinkerbell- because she spreads the pixie dust and made me remember the wonderful life of Disney on Sunday nights on TV. I love to craft and create whether it is in a computer program (databases) or home decorations, etc.

This is a really fun thread!

My real name is Carol..

I just bought these for my kids. They didn't care of them, but I still LOVE Escape to Witch Mountain.

As for our User Id...

DH and I live in Columbus, OH. I love the Blue Jackets and the Buckeyes, so Buckeye Fan it is! I've even forgiven Pryor for the fumble against Penn State. :headache:

I'm another person who had never been on a board before I joined here, so I wasn't terribly creative with the screen name either. I loved being at Disney, hence Disneylover! And I've had the name for so long, I don't want to give it up tho' I've thought about it a lot.

Oh yea, my name is Pat:)

"peepster" or Auntie Peep is the name attached to me by my nieces, nephews all the way to the great and the great-great nieces and nephews. WDW makes me feel warm and fuzzy just like my family does, so "peepster" just seemed natural.

We really do have six kids hence the name Wehavesix. Only 4 still at home though. The younger 4 were adopted when they were 2, 3, 4, and 5 years old and they are bio siblings. That was just over 9 years ago.

I am a big Winnie the Pooh fan. I love all of the characters especially Roo. My husband and I also purchased our first travel trailer a few years ago. It is a Rockwood Roo. We enjoy taking it up into the Adirondacks, but would some day like to take it to Disney. We vacation every other year at Disney for a week. It would be nice to stay longer.

:

I LOVE Escape to Witch Mountain too! Had a crush on Ike Eisenmann (Tony) forever.

My first screen name on the internet was Kat4Golf. I golfed in both HS and college and also worked at a golf course later, and my name is Kathy. When I found the DIS boards I wanted to make it a bit more Disney so....I changed golf to Disney. Very creative I know. What I never could figure out is how it came up all in caps since I didn't enter it that way. I don't like the way it looks but it didn't occur to me to change it until after I had a few posts and by then I just decided to leave it. If I were signing up today I'd choose a different name, but after all my years with a Kat4 sign on I'd probably just forget something else! LOL

Hey photobob!!! :bday: back atcha!!! Guess what I do for a living??? I management a children's photography studio. LOL Are we in the Twilight Zone????:rolleyes1

Wow! Very cool. I'm a photojournalist during the week and have my own business on the side mainly doing weddings and senior portrait work.

I'm Michelle. mfd25wife is because my DH works at station 25 for the Memphis Fire Department.

My name is Ed. A pretty common name at that. I am a bowling nut, and a few years back, i threw my first 300 game. It was with a ball made by a company called Storm, and the name of the ball was....................... you guessed it, "Firepower".

Mine is easy. A proud two-time graduate of The University of Alabama.

Roll Tide Roll!!!

Vanity plates, that is! I live in California where vanity (customized/personalized) license plates are very popular. When I was younger, everyone called me Blondie, but when I went to get my plates in high school the standard spelling was taken ... and so were a lot of variations! So I came up with Blahnde instead and those blue and gold plates are still on my car today!

When I had to come up with e-mail addresses and user names years later, I always figured that since only one person in California had my plate, odds were good that it would be available ... and it usually is! So if you see a Blahnde on another site, chances are it is me!

Blahnde

oakmanner, although I spelled it wrong, is a building at POR (Dixie Landings) that is the first resort we ever stayed in.
