Well, streaming is only available to those who are paying for a cable or satellite subscription, so yeah I think those who depend on the (free) main NBC channel for their Olympic coverage do have a right to complain. I'm glad I'm not one of them, but I understand what they're talking about. I'm so sick of seeing nothing but swimming on the prime time coverage I could spit. And all of the time wasted watching them stretch and dance around and adjust their goggles, swim caps, and suits is ridiculous when they could be using that time to show some of the other 50 some odd sports that happened during the day. I mean, it's not like it's live and we have to wait for the race to start.
Human interest stories are another time waster. Look, I don't mind learning a little bit about the athletes, but you don't need to make these long, dramatic mini documentaries about everyone's "journey". Just show the competition, dangit!!
The prime time swimming is live, isn't it? That was the impression I got watching it last night.
