Okay...I've Called the Late Night DISers, Now I'm Calling the Single DISers (Part 2)

Glad you had a great time, Legs! Between your description and Dan's pictures he's posted, I'm missing Disney! I want a solo trip! Maybe 3 months long or so. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc It's great you're such a short distance away now...a real plus! You'll be living there like Suzanne does. ;) Do you have AP's?

Nothing exciting here. Still a bit chilly for BG for me. Richard would go in an instant I'm sure. I must still have FL blood in my veins. Some people around here are out in short sleeve shirts! :cold:

Yes, we definitely have AP's. Got them a couple years ago. That's the only way we got into Soarin' yesterday. It was a special preview for passholders only.

DD asked if we were going back again today. Don't think so. I didn't get out of bed until 9:30!

Ah, yes! There are benefits to APs. I have the comparable thing for BG. Just got a flyer in yesterday's mail. Will have to see what that's about.

DD wants to go back today! :teeth: That's adorable. If only we could "play" all the time! :)

Legs I was at Disney yesterday too! We went on Soarin' and it was such a good ride. I was the one draggin my screaming kid out of Epcot!

I'm a wimp when it comes to the cold too!

Legs, I'm so glad you had fun. Soarin' is a wonderful ride. The second time I rode it was after my brother and I had visited the Mondavi wine exhibit in California Adventure. After two glasses of wine it is even more fun! :earboy2:

The bachelorette party was fun but tame, which was totally ok with me. The neatest thing is that my aunt (the bride's mom) told me the story of how she met my uncle. I just think it is so amazing when people who have been married for years (40) remember their early relationship with such fondness and love. :goodvibes

Isn't that the truth!! DS just reminded me that something new is opening at BG on May 21...my anniversary. :)

Nice you had a good but tame time, TB. I like hearing all the stories also. Was listening to the Pres at work the other day about how she met her husband...fixed by a friend of theirs. Ha! Too funny. :scratchin ...I need a friend like that. ;)

I thought about calling you!

We were there from 9:00am when they opened to 9:00pm when they closed!

YOu should have! We went to Grand Floridian for lunch and then over to the Beach and Yacht club for ice cream. It was such a beautiful day out!

You guys are both so lucky to live so close to Disney!

BB, I can't wait to hear how your weekend went!!

Wow, it sounds like everyone had great weekends!

My weekend was fun! The weather was perfect, not too hot, not too cold. :sunny: We went to the CN Tower in Toronto on Friday, it's the tallest building in the world, 1,815 feet, I think. :earseek: We went up 1,485 feet, that was high enough, lol. So, we did that in the afternoon, then we walked around and then headed back to CN Tower for dinner at 360 which is in the tower and it rotates a full 360 degrees in 72 minutes. Our reservations were at 9 pm, so I got to see whole city at night, it was so beautiful!! The food was delicious (this is the first time I've had lobster) and the experience was just amazing. :goodvibes
Saturday we went to Casa Loma (it means house on the hill) which is a castle in Toronto. It's huge!!! I think we spent a few hours in there and we thought we saw everything but later found out that we missed 3 or 4 rooms somehow?! :confused3 It was built in 1911 and cost $3,500,000 at the time!! :earseek: After that we were tired from walking around the last couple of days so we went back to the hotel and watched movies.
On Sunday we walked around downtown and played in an arcade until it was time for me to go to the airport. :( I was sad to go. It was a fun weekend and it took my mind off of my daily stresses and I just got to enjoy being carefree.
I was excited but not nervous about meeting this guy, and I wasn't disappointed. He's everything I thought he would be, okay, he's sweeter. He, he...he made me a gift, yes, made me a gift. :goodvibes It's a poem he wrote for me, then he printed it out and put it on a little kind of plaque and then took potpourri (is that spelled right?! :earboy2: ) and put it around the edges. It looks so nice! And the fact that he took the time to put so much work into something personal and special for me...wow. No one's ever done anything like that for me. I don't know where this is going to go, though, because even though it was an amazing weekend, I still think I'm not ready to move ahead with a relationship at this time, especially not a long distance one. I guess today I'm just feeling confused. *sigh*

I'm so glad you had fun!! That is some first date...it sounds like this guy is trying really hard to make this work. Do you think maybe a little bit too hard? Best of luck in trying to figure out what is best for you at this time. :goodvibes

Tonight I am meeting my DBF's best friend from med school! I actually can't decide what to wear. UGH. :confused3

I've never been to the Grand Floridian. Would love to do that sometime.

BB- Sounds like a wonderful 1st date!

TB- No matter what you wear, you will look great (judging fromt the photos I've seen you in)

I just found out a unit like mine is for sale by owner (but this one is not on the water like mine is) for $30,000 more than I paid :earseek: It is 2 yrs. newer but my goodness that's a lot more.

Great weekend, BB! :Pinkbounc :teeth:

What did you end up wearing, TB?

Legs...sounds like you got a great deal!!! :Pinkbounc :)

TB- I was wondering when they were going to change your tag because it still said looking for 2.0. Now...you've found him!

I don't think tag fairies update. They missed my post where I said I'm really not a Jersey girl at heart, but a Virginia girl at heart! ;) Must have traded in the heart. :)

Thanks Legs. I wore a gray skirt and a black blouse - conservative but something I am comfortable in. The guy was nice, especially for a surgeon.

Sandy, I am so glad your heart has been stolen. :lovestruc I actually updated my tag myself - and lost the TF one. Now my tag doesn't really make sense.

I am amazed at the housing markets y'all live in. I actually had to bring money to the closing to sell my house. How sad is that? But I am so glad it is gone!!!

So how is everyone? My lap top broke so I am not a happy camper.

I'm teaching a class tonight at the U of Houston for a friend of mine. I wish public speaking was a talent I had. :earboy2:
