My DD is having her First Communion this Saturday, and its supposed to be rainy and cold. *sigh* Other than that, not much new here.

legs~How funny! I didn't mention it but my niece is also having her First Communion on Saturday!! The funny thing is, it's my DBrother's daughter, and he and his wife are my DD's godparents, and my DBrother's DD's (my niece's) godparents are my sister and brother in law!

Found an apartment today ! Moving date July 1st. We are right by the pool. The pool is right out our apartment. It even has valet garbage.

I was going to post a pic but prolly won't be able to now. *sigh* But the mass was so nice, DD looked so beautiful (so did DN) and I teared up a couple of times. It's a good thing I'm buying a DVD copy of the mass cuz it seems like such a blur now.

Glad your dd's Communion went well! I better check my camera batteries! I don't think this church is making a DVD.

The 1st Communion is tomorrow. There are only 12 kids making their Communion at this mass. They split up the class so they have a small group of kids at each mass over several weekends. That way it is not chaotic.
My sister and I made our 1st Communion together may years ago(she was 2nd grade and I was 5th grade). Now our daughters are making their Communion together. And what's really neat is that my sister and I were chosen to carry up the bread and wine and our daughters will be right behind us carrying up the offering baskets.

FM- Congrats on the new apt. Wow, valet garbage! I would love that!

Thanks, Suzanne! Should have known they would be selling kites there. Bought one. A simple one without sticks! Just attached the string and the tail and it was up. After about 4 minutes of flying it on the beach, the rain started. By the time we ran to get out of it and folded it all up, it stopped. Hope the weather there next weekend is good. Maybe we'll go! Hopefullly got some good pics of DS flying it.

Oh! Congrats on the new apartment, Suzanne. Valet garbage? Do they come to your door and take it out? When I was growing up we had a neighbor that never put his garbage cans out front. The garbage people always went around the back and got them. Of course they paid extra for that.

Looks like I'll have an evening out next weekend. Hope this is a nice guy.

Thanks, Bea! His name is Colonel. I do like military guys. And I have a friend whose dog's name is Major. I had to be sure my bird outranks his dog. LOL!

I've been chatting with this guy online a week or two now. Seems nice. He's retired from the Navy and has his second career going as an EMT. We'll see. Oh...he's also a widower. That was the common thread that got us talking. That's it for now!

LOLOL! Early is right! I don't like getting up at 4:30.

Bea...We ran into each other on a web site. He has two girls...15 and 9. He also has two stepchildren in their 20s. Not sure what we're doing yet. Any ideas? I'm bored with the dinner/movie thing. Don't want the usual bowling or mini-golf thing either. Parasailing would be good! Kind of a long date though concerning leaving the kids since it looks like we'd have to go to NC.
