Bizybea, eHarmony took a couple of days or so before I received any matches. And then they came in quite steadily every day. I think that people in large cities tend to get more matches just because of the numbers.

I'll agree with that! I've blocked a few. Some are just persistant...or don't have a clue. I'm with you on the smoking, bizybea. That's at the top of my "no" list!! Been there with my husband, not going there again.

I just wanted to say how much I can relate to this. I was with my ex-h from the time I was 19 until 31. I started dating again at 32 and didn't have a clue what I was doing. I think knowing yourself and knowing what you want in a partner will take you far. As to meeting men? Unfortunately I don't think there are any secrets. I was set up by friends, joined an outdoors group for singles, and tried dating sites. I wouldn't necessarily discount dating sites just because of the medium. I think it is one of the most popular way for people to meet these days.

I had a piece of cake at work. I was given a choice of white or chocolate. Went with white. Just don't care too much for chocolate cake. It was good!

But if I had a choice of anything, I'd take carrot cake! Mmmmmmmmmmm!!!

Guess what? I'm going on my first date in a couple of weeks. When I say first date, I mean it! I've only gone out on dates with boyfriends. This guy is a guy I know from school, we're in an organization together and today I was talking to him and another guy, checking out my planner for upcoming events and stuff. Then, out of the blue, he was like, what are you doing March 5? And I checked my planner and said, nothing. And he said, Want to go to a ball with me? He's in the Navy and they are having a ball. I was like, Yeah! That sounds like fun! So, I told him I had to get a sitter and all that, and I'm going to tell him it's all set tomorrow. I'm not looking for a romance with this guy, he's only going to be a friend to me, but it will be nice to go out and get all dressed up!
