Okay...I've Called the Late Night DISers, Now I'm Calling the Single DISers (Part 2)

I could not get in gear this morning. The pups had me up at 4:30 to take them outside. Not a problem. I went back to sleep and woke up when DS came out of his room. I asked him what time it was, and he said...11:30! Eleven thirty???? I NEVER sleep that late! :earseek: Maybe it was because of the night before. I had gone to sleep somewhere around one a.m. At three a.m. I was awake and ready to start the day. I just laid there and eventually went back to sleep until 6 a.m. At 7 a.m. I was at Home Depot. LOL! I had to be there early to get the electrical plug thing for the dryer which was being delivered between 8 a.m. and noon. Sheesh! I forgot about it until 10 p.m. the night before.

So today I wanted to make the bed after finally finding sheets and unpacking those. Still haven't found the pillows. Oh, the joys of moving. I can now see why people sell things and buy new when they get to their new home. I think I needed one of those nice padded things to go over the mattress and under the sheets. I have no idea where the one I had is. I remember washing it in FL before we left. I took it out of the dryer and noticed how the elastic was completely shot. I thought I would just tuck it under the mattress. Hmmm...maybe I actually decided to toss it and get a new one. Too much on the brain! LOL! So I got a new one tonight. And I had to treat myself to new sheets because I'm really tired of what I had. So I treated myself to 400 thread count! They were 40% off at JC Penney. Wooooooooooow! Are they soft and silky! So that's my day. LOL! :teeth:

Tonight was cool. I mean, I am not sure what to think about my ex and i. So i just go out and enjoy life as a 21 yr old. But usually my mind just goes back to the "i am lonely" state. But oh well it is just a phase and I will grow out of it.

Men confuse me!!!!!

Ok I am going to bed now.
Karen Jean

I agree that men can be confusing, Karen. I'm a "direct" type of person. Don't beat around the bush with me, don't drop hints because I'll probably not figure out what you're hinting at...LOL, tell me like it is! ;)

PW, new sheets sound heavenly! :o

Serena, my dogs were such a source of comfort for me during the breakup of my marriage. Their unconditional love is unbeatable! :D

MDP, I think men confuse all of us. :p

FM, good luck with your certification!

The dog in my new pic is Mr. Tramp. He is my boy - and a spoiled boy at that!! :teeth:

Karen, men are confusing. But I hear we are too. How old are you?

PW, I have never heard of a 400 thread count. My sheets are 250 and I think they're heavenly.

TB, your doggie looks so happy. :)

I'm glad Mr. Tramp looks happy because he sure does hate having his picture taken. He was a stray in my neighborhood and came complete with heartworms and symptoms of PTSD. It actually took him over 2 weeks before he would even let me pet him. I orginally agreed to take him in so we could find him another home -my ex had other ideas. And that is one of the things I am thankful to him for. Mr. Tramp has adjusted so well - what he likes most is to love and be loved. He especially likes the guy I am dating. But he still hates it if you have anything in your hands - much less a camera that makes noise. :(

Cute picture, TigerBear. He certainly does look happy. :)

Serena...Yes, there really is a 400 thread count. I never heard of it either. I was looking at 250s on sale, and a lady was telling me she has a set of 300 and how soft they are. She said she'd never go back to 250. So I started looking at 300 or 350, whatever they were. Then I saw 400! I put my hand inside...WOOOOOOOOOOW! Nothing like the sheets I have. LOL! Had to spoil myself even though they were expensive. If I don't do it, no one else will. ;)

:faint:...don't mind me. LOLOLOL! :teeth:

Awww, poor guy. Well, he does look happy and he looks like he's posing. It must be because he feels safe with you. It's a goood feeling. :D

LOL!!! I'll have to keep my eye out for some. :hyper:

Certification test was interesting. Shall find out in four weeks if I passed it. There were some really really really no brainer questions like "what do you do during a science experiment a student drinks something toxic." Well, duh! To " what weighs more an electron, neutron, etc." That was over ten years ago I took that!

Had a blast Saturday at Epcot wasn't too busy at all. I even tried octopus. Interesting. The flowers at Epcot are breath taking. My camera malfunctioned while there. I somehow put it on timer, I think, and I can't get it off! Or it might need a new battery! I'll need to read the book!

Lightening won Friday night, so they are off to the 2nd series. Came home and bought tickets for all the home games! Also have my reservations for Green Bay with airline and everything booked. It also looks like I might being going on a Disney Cruise in July. They came out with ONE cruise in July for Florida residents and it's cheaper than the other cruiselines. Put a request in so we'll see!

Suzanne, wishing you all kinds of luck on your test. :)

Octopus?! ewww lol I tried rattlesnake once, a very small piece in a ton of crunchy batter. :teeth:

And I'm very jealous about the cruise. ;) Have tons of fun.

Suzanne-
Where did you find the info about the DCL cruise in July for FL residents? Is it eastern or western? I would love to go on another Disney cruise. If I don't I may go to Sanibel for a week with my family.

What weighs more...an electron, neutron, etc.? I don't remember learning anything about their weight! :earseek: Or is this a teacher's secret so you can tell the class? :)

Ugh! I haven't touched a box in about three days. I guess I better get back to it tomorrow while Richard is at school. Along with the phone calls I have to make. Better make a list of those so I don't forget any.

Two days ago I had the heat on. Today I have the A/C on! :teeth:

He's still not happy about the move. Tough time making friends at school. I tell him to keep trying. He's the new kid and needs to talk more to the boys. I know he's quiet around them. I told him that if he talks to them, someone will click. He keeps comparing his current school to the one in FL. That's not quite fair, but I guess that's to be expected from a kid. In the last few days he's called two of his FL friends. So he's feeling good about that.

Moves are often tough on kids at first. I bet he will end up adjusting just fine. Have you considered having him join some organized sport or other type of group?

I know our community has some sports. I'd like to find out what's coming up in the spring, baseball I guess, and sign him up. He can meet some kids there. He tells me he doesn't care for baseball, but he's great at it!!! He hasn't played a team sport in quite a while. I know his school doesn't offer them to the kids until 6th grade. All he could do at school right now is running. He doesn't care for that. From time to time I see a couple boys riding their bikes on the path out back. He's not too enthused on meeting new kids right now. Today he said something that made me think he's really trying to get me to go back to FL. I told him I bought a home, we're staying here. I know it takes time. He already is asking if he can go visit FL in the summer. LOL! :)
