OK ladies, lets talk bras, anyone else hate underwire?

Underwires for me too. I never used to wear them, but I find them much more comfortable than those without believe it or not.

I was in Wal-mart the other day looking for a bra that I had bought previously there made by Maidenform which I find very comfy (cant think of the name) when this woman walked up to me and said....we are doing bra fittings would you like one??? Ummm nope, not in the middle of Wal-mart with all kinds of people hanging around.

I hate underwire bras. Unfortunately, being well endowed (or cursed, however you want to look at it) I'm forced to wear them or the girls hang low. My latest nightmare with an underwire bra involves the bra I purchased to wear with my wedding dress. The bra had to be strapless and it's a long-line-suck me in type of bra.

Well, everything was great....until I sat down to drive over to the bridal salon. I wanted to CRY I was in so much pain. It felt like the boning of the bra was going to stab me! In fact, I took it back to the bra store, but they said there wasn't anything that could be done about that. So, now I have it stretching on a chair. Hopefully that will do the trick, otherwise I won't be sitting down on my wedding day.

I hate bras myself, but , lets be honest they are a necessity, you can't leave home without it!! Unless you realize it too late, then, boy do you regret it, you have to pretend like your arms are wrapped around you because you are cold, even if it's 100 degrees.

Underwire's are my friend. :rotfl:

ME too! Did not read the whole thread but how come we can get underwire bras but when it comes to swimsuits they choose to provide little if any support and if you want underwires you need to pay like 100 for a Slimsuit!! Do swimsuit manufacturers think that b--bs are so boyant that they float in water!! That may be true but we need to get out of the water at SOME time and I for one prefer not to trip over the "girls" when I exit the pool.

I've worn underwires for so long I don't feel comfortable wearing a bra without it. And for me it's either that or nothing. Can't get by with nothing in public though.
And I don't need padding, but it helps for modesty reasons.

Uh oh--it is a turf war.

If we don't behave--I will have to become the TOBP and make up silly rules again.

Now behave yourself young lady! :teeth:

Oh ok, I will be good. Bra talk only! ;) :teeth:

Anyone ever have the proble where the underwire leaves marks on you after you take it off? That can't be good (I know, sign of the wrong size.)

I don't like underwire bras, but I've also never been fitted for a bra. I don't really want someone analyzing my sagging girls! Maybe sometime I should go to happy hour and then to a bra fitting. Yes, it would really take that. :rotfl:

Yes, but would it be worth the migraine and credit card bill the next day? :lmao:

Whole new meaning to the words Happy Hour. (or making the girls happy.) :rotfl:

We can have a new saying, "If the girls ain't happy, Mama ain't happy". Truer words haven't been spoken! :teeth:

My problem too!

My most uncomfortable moment, when my 89 year old grandma shared she had the same problem

As for under the wedding dress, I wouldn't even try anything on that didn't have significant-enough straps to wear a regular bra underneath. Talk about limited choices! My mom yelled at every bridal shop telling them that not everyone is a B-cup and can wear strapless, in OCTOBER mind you!

I could run a full-out marathon and still not need any support.

I am not even sure if this is OT :offtopic: ...but when women do not wear the proper fitting bra and then they go to the GYM... :rolleyes2

I have actually seen women doing aerobics and actually hitting themselves (well almost) in the FACE with their "LADIES"...because they did not wear a sports bra to hold their "LADIES" DOWN.... :scared1:

Sorry, I am trying to be polite...but TO ALL WHO WORKOUT...get a good solid sports bra or your "LADIES" will be sore/black and blue/all stretched out/and beat up!!! And then you will be :furious: and

And then there all the women who wear tank tops to Cedar Point (and other places like that.) I learned that one the hard way, and I am pretty average and I still found it kills if you don't wear enough support. Ouch. That really can hurt. Keep them supported or else they will make you pay later. (I don't have the gym problem, normal bras work for me there, but then I never seem to through myself into my work outs too much.

I too hate underwire and I will not wear a bra with underwire even though I could probably use it. I have found a great bra by Bali that works. I also have another issue and that is that I am allergic to the synthetic materials in most bras. I have to find cotton or cotton blend at least. Otherwise, I end up all itchy and rashy and you can't be scratching there when you are out in public!

I don't mind underwire. As long as DH doesn't stick my bra in the washing maching causing the underwire to poke out. That hurts. :guilty:

I once had one snap on me....out somewhere...minding my own business....and SNAP! It hurt a lot. Then I was lop-sided. :rotfl:

I love underwire. I just bought a VS very sexy bra and the first day I wore it my ****s hurt from being push up and together. :rotfl: (they never touched before) now I dont even know I have it on. I am off to get every color.

I just got *** for using the b-word.
