OK ladies, lets talk bras, anyone else hate underwire?

I'm a 34D and my absolute favorite bra is the Victoria Secret Body by Victoria shaping full coverage bra. Full support, lightly lined for a nice shape and no nipple peeking. And *very* comfortable, even though it is an underwire.

And I think underwires keep the ladies where they should be--on your chest.

Hate underwire. Hate, hate, hate it. Have I mentioned how I hate it?

Kohl's had this one on sale a couple of months ago and I stocked up on them. I'm a 36DD and this one gives me all the support I need.

I found this one today online (but you just can't tell until you try it on.) while looking for the hanes perfect panty. I could by 5 of them for the price of one VS Ipex wireless. I think I am going to give this a try 1st.

Mrs. Nick, wow. Learn something new everyday. (Still not going to wear one.)

I used to tear the underwires out all the time.

Now I need them too much (nursing 3 kids) but I love VS line.

Things just aren't in order unless I'm wearing a bra with underwire.

I had a few without underwire and tried them on the other day- I don't know how I ever wore them in the first place!!

And count me extra weird- I can even sleep in them! :rotfl: I don't usually but sometimes if I'm really tired I'll fall asleep with one on by accident. Doesn't even bother me. :confused3

Why oh why does google never work for me????

OT: Sorry, OP: but I wanted to inform all that "GOOGLE" is now officially a VERB in the English Language and has found itself in the Websters Dictionary!!!

Just had to mention it as soooo many were googling for UNDERWIRE!!

:thumbsup2

Hi Karen! I haven't seen you so much since I kicked my sliver jewelry habit! How you doing?

(can I say Hi to someone on a thread I started or is that a no no? After all I don't "own it". ) ;) :rotfl:

Can't say I blame you. I'm the same way about pantyhose. Nope. Won't wear it, except to formal functions. Heck, I don't even wear hose to work. Rotten, I know, but pantyhose is just so dang uncomfortable. I guess I pay for my sins by putting up with the underwire :teeth: .

I thought underwire was only for people with DD and above...I would never wear them myself, just don't care for them and I am only a 38C so I really don't feel any need to have a piece of wire in the bottom of my bra!

I've only worn underwire bras so I guess it's what I'm used to. It would be nice to have more options but a lot of bras don't come in 32D. I wish they would open a VS store here already!

That makes sense for large chested women, and it also tells me why I don't need an underwire. My ladies stay on my chest no matter what (one of the advantages of having small "ladies" :teeth: ).

Uh oh--it is a turf war.

If we don't behave--I will have to become the TOBP and make up silly rules again.

Now behave yourself young lady! :teeth:

I have never heard that.

VS doesn't carry 32D. I'm a 32C, and I can't find that size anywhere except places like Nordstrom where it cost $50 for a bra. I've tried VS "sister" sizes, and none of them fit right. I can't wear anything in that store!

Just have to share... I'm a DDD - so underwires are a must. However on the 4th I wanted to wear a particular top that only works with this one bra I own (no, no - I own more than 1, it's just this one particular one that works with this top)

Anyways - I'm all dressed, ready to go to a BBQ and <<SNAP!>> Out jumps the underwire into my armpit!

As I didn't have time (or the energy) to change - it was fixed with:

1) a piece of toilet paper folder up (padding)
2) duct tape (to attach the toilet paper to the portruding wire)
3) red electrical tape (placed over the silver duct tape to blend with my red shirt)

There has GOT to be a better way!

I like the way underwire supports and shapes the girls, but after a short time I do not like they way it feels because it starts to dig in. So, I cannot wear them for very long. When I was smaller, underwire was my best friend. Now that I have gained weight, it doesn't like me anymore. I have a very hard time finding my size, because it's rarely if ever in the stores. Most stores don't carry my size, so I have to order them online. :(

If I wasn't so afraid of elective surgery, I would seriously consider a breast reduction.

I don't like underwire bras, but I've also never been fitted for a bra. I don't really want someone analyzing my sagging girls! Maybe sometime I should go to happy hour and then to a bra fitting. Yes, it would really take that. :rotfl:

Yeah, well I went to a fitting. Know what they told me? We don't carry your size! :rotfl2:

I have a "dear daughter", so does that mean that I can wear an underwire? :teeth:
