We're planning a trip to Asia to visit all of the Asian parks in Feb of 2028. We have been members since 2006 and I realize most people don't consider using points outside of WDW or DL to be a good value BUT after studying the point charts and comparing to how expensive CASH ROOMS are I think it's not really so bad (with the current exchange rate). I priced a room yesterday that was almost $2K USD for a standard room for 4 nights and I could get the same room for under 250 points. We considered the idea of renting some points out through a 3rd party but my DH is worried about the resulting tax implications. He'd rather not mess with it.

ANYWAY, I'm not posting this to argue about the value. It's something we're considering. What I'm looking for with this post is for experiences from people who have actually used their points to book rooms at HK or Tokyo. The HK point charts are supposedly available for booking at up to 11 months out but meanwhile the only charts posted expired YESTERDAY and member services said they've been told nothing about them. There are no charts posted for today forward. And Tokyo doesn't even make their rooms available to book until 4 months before - and it takes a week to confirm if the availability is there or not. It all sounds very stressful and iffy (especially for someone who's anal retentive like me). If you booked at either of the Asia resorts using points please share your experiences with me and what you learned from the process or what you would do differently next time. TIA!!!
