OK ladies, lets talk bras, anyone else hate underwire?

Underwire for sure!!

My pet peeve is straps...the itty bitty thin kind just don't make sense and don't get me started on the clear plastic ones.

I had a thiner strap break on me in a golf tournment once...the underwire however held and the girls pretty much stayed where they were. Apparently one should now pack a bra in your golf bag.

I've always been an underwire fan, but that's b/c I need the extra oomph. My favorite bra right now is this:

Angels by Victoria's Secret Secret Embrace

Most comfortable, great shaping...they are seamless and don't give me "bra rolls"...

I'm going to throw out all of my old bras and buy more of these...I want to try the strapless ones too...

oh, and btw, even though I'm small, I've NEVER been one to go braless...too uncomfortable!

AMEN!!

Thin straps are USELESS for me, especially now that I am pregnant. I am usually a C, but now I'm a D and the girls need some SUPPORT!

I love underwires except when the wire pokes out. Actually I like sleeping in my underwire

Maybe someone should do a poll--how many of us wear a bra at night vs setting our girls free? Except when I was nursing, my girls have always been trusted not to roll off the bed during the night and they've never walked in their sleep. Of course I'm not real well endowed, so I supposed that has something to do with my trust in them. In Girls We Trust, my new motto! :lmao:

:rotfl: :lmao: Too funny! :rotfl2:

Only time I have ever wore a bra at night is the few weeks after the baby was born (or you wake up all wet, more info then anyone who has never had a baby wants to know.) Other then that, yes the are to be trusted not to sleepwalk or run away during the night. (maybe drift over to DH's side of the bed, but I am not saying any more then that. :rolleyes1 )

Ever since I got my new "girls" I've worn a sports bra to bed every night, or one of those tanks with the shelf bra in it. I've gotten so used to it that it feels weird to go without a bra!

I can't sleep wearing one at all. I had to when I was nursing, but I hated it.
For that matter, usually as soon as I get home it comes off. I haven't scared anyone away yet. :lmao:

Ok women, we have found the perfect panty, and it has inspired me to discuss undergarments more. (Monkey boy and Pop daddy something tells me you will show up too, but this isn't for you.) ;) :rolleyes1

Let's talk bra's :thumbsup2
Any other women out who can't stand underwire? I don't know what it is. I even had myself measured at VS and I had to take them back. They actually hurt after wearing them for a few hours. I just can't wear underwire bras. I have never been able to. It is too bad, because after having 2 children and nursing them I could use a bit of extra support and shape. ;)

So am I alone in this? Are they uncomfortable and evil for anyone else? :teeth:
I agree with you. I am rather large busted and I think that helps make the wire just dig into me and I hate it

Okay everyone...as we dissect the entire BRA...underwire or not...sports bra or not...straps thin or bulky...

For me it is the HOOKS...I will NOT buy a bra with THREE hooks...way too much bra for me...I love the look of those bras on QVC by Breezies but they all have THREE hooks...not going there :sad2:

 yup, I am crazy!

I am with you on that. I remember the days when one hook was ok. Not any more. Still when I had some nursing bras and they were 3 hooks, I think some might of been 4, but I refused. O course I needed double D's right after the girls were born. (not so much any more. ;)

Oh the fine line of finding one that supports and gives a great shape, but still looks good with no shirt (if the occasional calls for it.) I guess that is why some women like the wire, less hooks but still shapes. I am telling you, I can't get past the pain. Nice to no I am not alone. IRL I am the only person I know that won't wear one (besides my mother.) Oh yes an my niece but she wouldn't need one. Maybe it is a family thing.

Don't you just love how the magazines, What Not To Wear, etc. tell you that the bra should be supported by the cups and the girth (I can't think of the right way to say it), and not the straps. Hello.... how do you keep the girls up where they're supposed to be without the straps? If so... why have straps in the first place? :confused3

No way would I ever sleep with a bra on! I like to feel free when I sleep and no way would I feel good sleeping with a bra on. I take it off by evening time anyway if I am not going out for the night, I figure wearing that thing from 6am until 6 is way enough time to be punished!

I'm amazed at the number of you who wear your bras like 24/7..even to bed?!

I'm very well endowed/cursed and the bra, along with shoes and jewelry, come off my body first thing when I get home. The girls must be supported (see my tag) while out and about, but at home...they go free! :teeth:

I don't mind underwire.. but VS wires started to "squeek" after a while. Try explaining that to people! :rotfl2:

strange I've never had underwire snap or poke & have been wearing underwires as long as I can remember - and I always forget & throw them in the wash & dryerwith all the other whites - they might get handwashed & air dried 1 time - BUT I'm also cheap & don't buy bras that cost more than about $30 & usually won't pay that much just wait til they're on sale.

My bras usually just end up not llifting me up anymore & I'm sure that's from being thrown in the wash or the wire gets all cattywampas never broken though.
