OK ladies, lets talk bras, anyone else hate underwire?

Don't know if this has been covered in this thread but FYI don't wear an underwire bra to the airport. I did and got screened for extra security and when they scan you with that wand it beeped when it got to the girls, was very embarrasing. Learned my lesson.

I fly 6-7 times per year, have always worn an underwire, and have never been screened for extra security.

The last time I had an underwire break, I noticed they were made of a plastic not a metal. So maybe this only applies to underwires that are made of metal....are they still made with metal?

Now that you mention it, you're right, the last few of mine that have poked through have been a white-ish plastic.

Hey ladies! Thought those of us who have subscribed to this thread would find some interest in this episode on Oprah...

All about how her bra didn't fit right, and yours probably doesn't, either. Everything you thought you wanted to know and didn't, and some stuff you didn't even know you didn't know. :happytv:

Tune in!

I have to say the Ipex wireless really are great. bbangel, it is smooth and silky and great shape and comfort. I want to buy it in bulk but can't afford to. Still one or 2 really good bra's is better then nothing. :teeth:

Unfortunately, VS doesn't have stores in Canada, at least not around here. Next time I'm down there I'll have to try and find a store so I can try this on.

This thread caused me to spend $80 at Kohls yesterday--but I'm glad I did. In addition to several new bras (half price on Bali--love them!) I found new underwear to love--"barely there." (Is it so wrong to love your panties?)

Ok women, we have found the perfect panty, and it has inspired me to discuss undergarments more.

We have? What thread did I miss? Someone, please send me that link as I need to find ones that don't ride up. The Barely There brand works for me, but is there something different and/or better?

Back on subject - I hate underwires. I can't see anything comfortable about them at all. Give me an old fashioned padded bra.

Oh dear! This has happened to me on several occasions too! Talk about EMBARRASSING!

IThe only thing I hate is when I 'spring a wire.' There's nothing more embarrassing than walking around the office talking to people and then realize I've got a plastic wire sticking 4 inches out of my sweater!

I don't mind underwire.. but VS wires started to "squeek" after a while. Try explaining that to people! :rotfl2:

Remember the movie The Fly? Maybe the wires are saying "help me!" :rotfl2:

The last time I wore underwire, it broke through the side of the material and kept poking me in the arm pit all day!!!!!! :furious:
I am currently experiencing this right now. When I put my bra on this morning the underwire had broken thru and I didn't have time to find another one. It's a brand new bra too! :guilty: I guess my girls don't know their own strength!

ITA with you. I HATE underwire in bras, but I can't find a bra with enough support without it.

I think we should rename this thread, "As the Wire Pokes", or possibly, "Revenge of the TaTa Holders"..............
