Ohio DVCers? Buckeyes check in here!

Well I'm about 90 miles west of Cleveland airport and we are supposed to be dry this week. Chilly today but warming up during the week. 72 by Friday.

Disclaimer:We were supposed to have a soggy coolish weather last week. We got sunny and temps 5-10 degrees higher than forecast. :thumbsup2

Are you flying Contintental?

Hooray!!! No snow! Yes, flyinging Continental. Now lets just pray that they don't ground Continental next week like they did AA!!! "99" placed 4th.....jsut didn't have enough fuel!

I'll keep my fingers crossed. I bet he had enough fuel, Reiser is not a risk taking crew chief ala Chad Knaus.

I'm so excited that I can't stand it!! Found out this am that we passed ROFR yesterday!! We are official......almost......HHI DVC owners!!:cool1:

Emma's Mom,

I recently moved to Wooster - well I guess its been almost two years now. So you are right, I must be number 4. :)

I have owned at the BWV since 1996 and I love it!!

Wooster is my hometown-well sort of I'm origanally from Shreve.

Been a member with my partner since 98 at BW where we own all our 525pts.
But now live in Mansfield for 14yrs.

I didn't think anyone in Wooster or Mansfield even knows where WDW is let alone knowing the difference between Disneyland/WDW.

Been to Disneyland 3x, Disnetland Paris1x, WDW too many times, and DCL via both ships and Panama repo/Westbound Trans Atlantic Magic this past August
We have cruised around 15 or 16 times

What did you think of DLParis? I have heard both good and bad. Are all of your cuises with Disney? I'd be ancious to hear what you thought of some of the others. We would like to try another line but are afraid of being disapointed. We did Carnival many years ago but that was preDisney. Now I look back and there was such a huge difference.

Only the disnuts would know the difference in Lima too!

I think if you try DCL, Princess or Celebrity you'll notice a big difference from Carnival. I had been on Princess and RCL and did a 3 day Carnival (the others were longer). It was fine for having fun, but the quality of food and service couldn't compare.

Disneyland Paris is a "hybrid" park taking the best of the 2 US Magic Kingdoms.
It toally blows them away--very detailed and DIsney clearly spent the $$$ on this park. The Disney paris Studiosw (when we were there in 04) the best thing for it would be to run a bulldozer and plow it under!! We stayed a full week spending most of our time 95% in the Magic Kingdom. Discoveryland is just awsome with it's Jules Verne look! Pirates is cool too with the elaberate costumes of the castmembers. We stayed on pts at Disneyland Hotel and ate breakfast at the Ineventions Restaurant every morning looking out into the park. You are literally steps away from the gates and closer than the Grand Californian hotels passage into California Adventure in California.
Journey into paris on the RER subway is easy, clean, quiet also.
And we don't know a lick of French but navigating in and around Paris is easy since most our bilingual.
We have done all our cruises on the Magic, the Wonder was our 1st 3day cruise in 2000 and the 11night in 2006. The Magic's sevice is much better than the Wonder's.the wonder's service lacks at about the 4th day since they somehow don't know what to do with the guests.

I have been thinking that it would be cool to go and now I am even more intrigued. Thanks. We just haven't ventured to Europe yet. Might make a great graduation trip!

We are sailing the Magic in Sept for the first time. Thanks for the info.

We were on a charter with Carnival but I wouldn't want to try a regular sailing with them. We really want to cruise Alaska and are thinking Princess. I also think we would like to try RCL because of the activities with the teenager although he still loves DCL.

We are on the magic also at the end of Sept. going to Castaway twice and Costa Maya since we've never been to Costa.
Disney paris does trips into Paris via motor caoch for $$$$$ but you can do it for oabout 6euros a piece on a special RER day pass.
The only thing I have to caution about is pick pocketers in and around the subway I locked eyes on 1 who was going to pocket my friends tote bag when we got off--But don't be frightened. The tourist attractions are steps away from the subway RER. Europe-France and Spain are not intimidating to visit.--although we've only been to europe twice.

Well got to go to work

Our dogs woke us up just before the earthquake this am. They wanted out which they don't usually do in the night. Thought that was weird. DH let them out. I stayed in bed and it started to shake. I thought one of them was under the bed scratching! I kept telling him to stop then I realized, he wasn't there!

What time? I have a huge black lab that sleeps next to our bed, and sometime she scratches herself and the bed shakes. Well, that happened this morning, but when I did get out of bed, Emma, our lab wasn't there. I wondered if I missed something! Maybe that's what it was...was it sometime between 5 and 6 AM?

Wow, I've been reading about it now...I was a bit off on the time, but yes, that's what woke me up!

We live in Centerville. I guess we slept through the earthquake.:confused3

We're practically neighbors. We live in Black Oak just north of St. Leonards.
