Thank You - I am home and settled and while the nerve block on my shoulder is still in effect the worst part was the nausea, the funny taste in my mouth, and my left hand which apparently they stabbed several times after i was under for another IV. The anesthetist rejected all those sites they stabbed because of valves....

Same dates for me as well!!! I'm at SSR though, my home although I've only stayed there once!! The guys wanted to stay there!! Are you driving or flying? we are driving and planning on leaving Fri, night.

Glad to hear your surgery went well. Sometimes I wish I could have 7 weeks off, but would hate the limitations that come with it. My DH was off for 3 weeks recently and he couldn't sit still.

Thanks. It was better than he thought so hopfully a faster heal time, but not a faster back to work time.

I am SO far behind, but enjoyed your last set of pictures. I didn't know you were there at Halloween time? I'm so confused - that WAS a Halloween parade, right? It looked pretty cool.

I was there at the end of September 2012. Yup a Halloween party but I like MKs much better.

Madame Leota looks different at DL. HM looks pretty cool. I like the overlay.

I will have to pull up side by sides. The overlay is cool. I am not a huge Jack Skellington fan but I do like the overlay.

Good luck with your shoulder surgery. I know its probably going to be a painful surgery so I wish you the best during your recovery. I'll be thinking about you!

That is the one thing I heard over and over. The multiple stabbings in my good hand annoyed me, the fat swollen numb right hand was a bother.
i may or may not have a rash from the antiseptic/ adhesive non latex tape, but holy cow when the block wore off.

I had a bad couple of hours last night, but I emptied my stomach the non-traditional way, there was no comfortable position to be had and was the thought that more pain medicine would make it worse, but I was able to tolerate the pain meds and get a bit of rest. I hope I am over the worst of it now.

I got a good laugh at the Curb your Dog sign in Epcot last month. Denny had to ask what was so funny. Come to think of it, he probably asked the same thing in June.

I think I was able to find at least one in every park except maybe DHS?

I think I am good now.Stir crazy but good. I get tired easily still so I still need to stop every once in a while to rest but overall feeling pretty good considering I am just at 24 hrs post-op.

Oh I had a couple hours of hating it but thankfully that passed and feel like I have a good plan in place now.

I am glad they didn't find anything to make it a harder/longer recovery.
So far at 24 hours post op, I feel pretty good. Right now I feel as limited as I did before surgery, but now I have a sling to help support it.

Yes I am stir crazy ... ALREADY but I have plenty to keep me busy.

Working out how and when to take the medicine was the trick. I think that is under control now. It helps that the anti-nausea is also an antihistamine.

I probably will still have it in a sling but a simple one and not the ultimate mega sling I have now.

Oh yes this was considered outpatient surgery. Yup on day 2 and getting antsy. I am just moving slow so anything and everything takes forever.

With my pool being shut down it was the perfect time to get it done.

I can't think of better therapy than a trip to WDW.

OOOOH Hope you are doing well and for a quick recovery.

I finally slept some last night. All day no pain meds needed, but I think tonight I may need to take some.

Today was pretty good but PT starts tomorrow so I figure that will be fun....

Thanks Glenn for the good wishes. So today was my first PT appt. and it went well. She was pleased that had that much movement and range of motion this soon.

Except for pain meds before PT ( momma didn't raise no fool) I have not taken pain meds since Wed night, and didn't need then when this one wore off around 4pm.
