Thanks Kathy - I see you had a wonderful day. Stay warm. :cold:

I'll be interested to hear what you thought of DLpopcorn::

I may have to send you the updates. :lmao:

In a nutshell- like some others have said.... it is the same but different.

I will say Carsland is AMAZING ( although cars has the same problem that TSM had when it first opened)

Now that it has been done I need to go back to really enjoy it. I know that sounds odd but IJ was closed and that alone means a do over. Now that I have a sense of the lay of the land I can spend more time to look around and enjoy.

I agree. Carsland is AMAZING. Indy is a better version of Dinosaur. And there is so much detail at DL and DCA to enjoy! Let me know when you're going again. I may have to make the trip out:thumbsup2

Not sure how caught up you are but I now have DVC and addonitis has struck too.
I was able to score the GCV last time so that makes the trip easier on my wallet.

Since you are on the east coast ever thinking of WDW anytime soon?

On to the Tree of Life. I love all the details here.

Now there was a portion that actually goes under part of the tree. What’s under the tree beside the “it’s tough to be a bug” theater?

IMG_5216.jpg

Yup... concrete, rebar and conduit... :crazy2:

Not much but still kind of neat.

CONTINUED next post ....

Coming out by the exit of the ITTBaB show, I saw Beastly Bazaar. Knowing it was going to close soon to become a meet and greet I thought I needed to document the building.

The skies opened up…… Quick duck into Guest relations to wait out the deluge.
Some of the pictures in Guest Relations.

I have flipped these two since I thought they were upside down.... but..... maybe the bat one is SUPPOSED to be upside down.
Well hopefully they errr... right themselves.

While in there I found out there was a CM from Crown Point IN. Wish I had gotten her name but she may know a DISer who hangs around here. Our very own Dan. :goodvibes

While it appeared to be letting up, I made a mad dash for the closely parked car, Of course Mother Nature had the last laugh and made sure I got soaked on the way to the car.

By the time I got to the beach club it had let up but was thundering and lightning a good bit. I walk by the pool and checked to make sure no one was in there since there was no posted lifeguard and well some people need to be reminded not to swim in an electrical storm.

Once the rain ends then what???

Hint: my next picture isn’t until 8:17.

When I saw Crown Point, I immediately thought of Faunt...

Isn't it amazing the things we discover....I would never have seen those photos from Guest Relations if you hadn't posted them. I don't think I've been into Guest Relations at AK. Epcot yes. MK no. DHS, no....Hmmmm...touring Guest Relations around WDW.....ok....i'm desperate. I need a trip to WDW soon. It's almost been 3 years

You are only desperate when the bathroom pictures make you want to go back. :rotfl2:

Like I have said when stuck somewhere in "the World" There are worse places I could be stuck. :)

DHS GS is on the left as you walk in..... either very crowded or completely empty. :confused3

While I was waiting for the Florida Monsoon to stop I had time to look around.

Glad you did. ::yes::
Gotta say, raccoons eating seahorses' noses - that's unique. Maybe they can alter the words on the sign and still use it somehow/somewhere.

I have always thought this was a cute EXIT sign. :)

Great post! Your pictures of the Tree of Life carvings helped me to once again appreciate what an amazing piece of art the structure is.

I think it is cool that you posted the underside of the tree with the concrete and rebar.

The Guest Relations pictures are neat too. I haven't been in there either, so probably wouldn't ever see them.

YAY for your car being close by- too bad it wasn't quiet close enough to keep dry.

Hmmm... next picture well into the evening? Too much weather for pool time. Sounds like an excellent chance for a Siesta!

PS- I love that you checked out the pool to make sure nobody was swimming. Always on duty!

Oh I know you have way more pictures than I do. :lmao:

It is a pretty unique building and I hope it gets the use it deserves. ::yes::

It is always my "going out" picture. :goodvibes

It is amazingand I always find something new everytime I go.

I thought it was pretty interesting even it wasn't "pretty" :rotfl:

Next time stop by even just to look around.

I couldn't imagine it being any further away. It looked like it was letting up until I got to about .... Oh bag check where there is no place to hide. :lmao:
Then it was a cruel trick, and I was absolutely soaked and laughing the whole way. :lmao:

What else is great to do on a rainy stormy day? A nap is a great guess.

I had kind of wanted to show my parents the trail by the Tree of Life where you can see the animals closer, but we were just too pooped by that point and decided to exit instead. Oh well.

That fastpass pillow is awesome! I never saw that. :thumbsup2

I bet that is hard to swing with your parents and "just one more thing" when you are tired and just need to go.

I still don't think I have seen "all " of the trail. Next time...:lmao:

I thought the FP pillow was cute. Didn't buy it but I admired it especially the height requirement. :rotfl:
